CREATION (2010)

I got this out because of the cast. Darwin is cool and all, but frankly I just am not interested in the man. Oh well. It was still an intriguing film, and worth checking out if you're into science.

Connelly did a fantastic British accent, and Bettany wore a less than convincing bald cap. The movie was fairly engaging, and tried to get into the psychology of the man who'd spawned "the most important idea in the history of thought", but it never really seemed to out grow it's roots as a BBC tele-film. It's interesting, but it's not especially interesting movie making. You need to have an existing interest in the subject or the stars to be engaged in this one

The one thing that I found curious was how eerie it is that the Dawrin role is incredibly similar to Bettany's role as the ship's doctor in MACTFSOTW.

Also weird, is the fact that he was in that movie with Russell Crowe. His other film with Russell Crowe has Crowe losing his mind while his wife Connely looks on helplessly.
SPOILERS

This film features Connely watching Bettany talk to their dead daughter in shock, as she learns that he's gone crazy. The whole film he's been talking with a daughter that we only learn is actually a halcunation at the end of the second act.
SPOILERS END

The parallels between this and Beautiful Mind and MACTFSOTW are bizarre and alot of fun for film fans. Anyone else seen it?
