This week. Good lord, call that toll free number. The Canadian jokes were killing me.

I've been itching for a Diablo style game on the 360 for a while now, so hopefully this is going to be a winner.
Yeah, this looks great and I'm planning on picking it up.

It's interesting that Gilbert already left the company that made it. Must not have been a great experience working with the team there or something.

Sacred 2?

The movies made this look not so much like a Diablo style game. The perspective looks the same obviously but the speed of the gameplay and obviously the style didn't feel at all like Diablo. I'm still hopeful on it though, I like mixing in some laughs with my gaming.

That phone number is pretty damned funny. I chose the section about vanquishing evil.
It looks more like an arcade-y version of Dungeon Siege II than a Diablo clone, but I'm interested to hear what people say about this. You can sorta tell by the video that it's been in development for longer than Gran Turismo 5.

Vicious Chicken Lips.

I'm already sold, the voice acting seems superb.

What a great demo.

This is the best looking game I've seen on the PSN outside of WipeoutHD. The dialogue might be trying a little too hard to be clever, but I can't help admiring the attempt, especially when it drops something unexpected like the "magic seals" exchange.
That's funny I've heard it's kind of juvenile and kind of dull. Which is a shame, still interested but I'm tempering my expectations.

I've only tried the demo, but my impression is that it's a very pretty loot drop game with the occasional meta joke. Loot drop games are addictive in a lowest-common-denominator kind of way, so if DeathSpank can do something clever with it, I'm on board. The humor won't sell everyone.

How much is the full game running?
$15
That's not bad at all. It looks like something brainless that I could pick up for 15-20 minutes at a time so I'll give the demo a shot and hopefully it appeals to me.
I downloaded but didn't try the demo yet. I've actually got a bunch of PSN games I haven't played enough yet so I will probably hold off on this one until it gets a price drop.

The Eurogamer review?

That did slightly dampen my spirits. Might hold off a little, just to see.

Yeah, I'm not familiar with that particular reviewer though and Eurogamer do tend to be a bit 'odd' with their likes and dislikes now and then.

Well, with a demo available (even on the PSN) I don't think it'd be too hard to see if the gameplay/humor hits the right notes for you.
The review did mention that it's over the duration that the humour falls flat, not in the short burst - and that the humour's target audience might be ever so slightly skewed younger. More "Toilety" I believe was the term.

It was amusing, well put together and does a good job in the trial of throwing a bunch of weapons at you to mess around with. Raining heck from the sky was fun, but it's really hard to top the chicken cannon. Giving me a cleaver as a reward in an early quest but not letting me equip it though? I call foul.

Does it have the long term playability to make it worth a purchase in your opinion?

At $15 I'm passing for now. It's amusing and well put together, but there's not much to it in any respect.

I'll most likely purchase just because I don't have a lot of games I can pick up when I have 15 minutes to mess around. In the demo you seem to find an Outhouse every 5 minutes or so which lets you teleport and save essentially so it's not a game you have to put a lot of time into in a sitting. Watching the stats screen while running through the trial game made it seem like it was much larger than I'd anticipated (I was at 1% completed for quite a while).

There is definitely potty humor but most of the humor you encounter seems to run more at the level of The Tick which appeals to me anyhow. Ultimately it's a lot of hack and slash which will most likely get repetitive and it definitely has the Diablo "look for the next cool item" thing going for it which will appeal to some and turn others off. $10-$15 seems fair though.

Invested 2 hours in this after buying it and yes, its worth it if youre looking for a funny diablo clone/parody.
Humor is really good, and the voice acting sells it very well...hell, im using "Greetings, Taco Wench" at somepoint in my life.

Quite pleased this is getting a lot of good reviews. Gilbert should get a lifetime pass for Monkey Island's 1 & 2, but what with him not having done anything in years and years there was no guarantee this would be any good. I hope a Steam release is on the way?
Enjoyed the demo, but don't think I'd get 15 bucks worth of fun out of the whole game. Some of the voice acting is cute, but much of seems to be Trying So Damn Hard To Be Funny that it gets a little grating.
I couldn't even get through the demo. I found the humor to be annoying as crap. Maybe I just wasn't in the mood for it.
I dig it, but I think I'm going to wait for a sale. $15 is a bit much, this might be better for $10.
Is this enough to pull you away from Torchlight?

I thought the wife was going to love it, as it has same screen coop, but when she too ran the demo the humor annoyed her more than anything.

Actually, I think I'll re-install Diablo 2 on our pc's tonight and go that route.
