Tell us about yourself. You've been posting here for six years, thousands of posts, but I feel like I know nothing about you. Likes, dislikes. Where you live, what you do. Your family, your fears, your hopes and dreams.

I'm not aware of the story behind this, but it's funny nonetheless.
I'm thinking it was his/her post in the Mel Gibson thread.
cant we just enjoy the mistery? this will take the magic away.
I'd like to know what the fella does for a living, and how this impacts the t-shirts he wears.
I cant shake the feeling that this is the equivalent of Devin going hunting; the trap/bait is set, and now we play the waiting game.

*settles in* whose turn is it to make the popcorn?

When do I get my own thread?

"Dudalb thread. You go inside the thread? Thread goes in the forum? You go in the forum? Dudalb's on the board? Our dudalb?

Farewell and adieu to you, fair Spanish ladies. Farewell and adieu, you ladies of Spain. For we've received orders for to sail back to Boston. And so nevermore shall we see you again.

"This thread is a game preserve. And dudalb is the game."
Yikes. I had no idea what this thread was. I feel like I walked in on a roommate mid relationship talk with a girlfriend.
I personally think he's a bit of a twat.

I just wanna know what the hell his nom de web means.
Google search on the name reveals another dudalb at the James Randi Education Foundation forums. Same person? Most likely since it is a unique nom de web.
Just curious, are these pro-or anti-James Randi Education Foundation posts?

'Cause if you're anti-Randi, you're anti-human, as far as I'm concerned.
I didn't peruse very long. It was actually a Lohan thread.
If you guys think this is a bait thread, why do you say as much? That's like telling someone about their upcoming surprise birthday party.

I'd like to know how to pronounce it. In my head I say it like a 90s smoove rapper: Dud Al B.
I bet he spells it with 3 K's.
I'm thinking "Dude a pound".

See, in my head, it sounds like an adorable insect character created by Sid and Marty Krofft: Doodle Bee.
I see it like those vanity license plates where the vowels are left out and you have to fill them in yourself. Dudalb = dud-a-lub
post #25 of 92
For some reason, my mind skips that second D and I always see it as "dualb".
I wonder if it's some lesser character from one of the later Dune books. Reminds me of Muad'Dib.

I like that. Haven't given it much thought, but I'm more inclined toward "dud-alb." Not very creative, I know, but the sound just seems right.

Mistery? Mister E? Mystery! Mister E. Nygma!

Solved!

Aside from whatever content sparked this, the above description sounds like a goddamn dream Chewer, honestly.

unless their family/life sucks

I mean the part where we never hear about it.

I would like to see a quarterly "eccentric posters" series like this in the future. We have one guy who is terrified of black people at ATMs, but apparently loves Negro Spirituals.

Waitwhatwho?
I opened the Negro Spiritual post and then immediately felt like I shouldn't have, and backed out before reading anything.

No racist.

He's a lobstrosity*!? Did-a-chik! Dad-a-chak! Dum-a-chum!

*gaaah! the picture on that page is going straight to the "behold the spider cricket" thread!

I always read it similarly, but I wondered why someone would want to be known as "dud-a-pound."
I wonder if dudalb handles this thread more like Princess Kate or more like Moltisanti. Any bets?

Didn't he bring us the glory that was "black thug pole" too? Also the Freaknik post about raperin'.

I disagree. I thinking knowing a little bit about each other is great. I mean, I read dudalb's posts and I always just wonder 'Where is this guy coming from?' Even the slightest bit of context may help.

Yes. Maybe blaring Negro Spirituals at the ATM drive-through is like a black people cloaking device for your car.

Anyway, how about that dudalb. Along with Cthulhuchain and neolong, he's one of those posters with names that never register with my brain.

Yeah thats how I see it as well.
So confused. This is like the 3rd time I've heard something about dudalb's posting style but he's always seemed a fine poster to me.

And for the record, I've always thought of his name as being pronounced Doodle-B.
His name always registers as gibberish to me. I'd never given the pronunciation much thought, to be honest. I just know it's all lower case, starts with a d and ends with a b, and it involves kittens.
I always went Doodle Bee, which then made me think of the Blur song Beetlebum.
Having read what I assume spawned this, I'm a little confused by Dudalb's statements. Is there some sort of Klan succession chart?

I'm not getting where he was coming from in regards to that. In regards to the guy, I usually spot his posts by his avatar. I'm a big fan of small animals attempting to shoot things.

We must suffer from the same disease.
I always read it as "Dud-alb". Not that that helps clear up the mystery any.

I might be wrong but I get the feeling what's making him the centre of attention now isn't anything specific but just his habit of talking about stuff like he's 'in the know' and ignoring anyone who contradicts him. He's definitely guilty of that, but otherwise I reckon he's okay. Keeps a close guard on his actual personality though, unless he really is defined entirely by his dislike of the Weinsteins etc.
I always said "Dud-a-leb"
