I really wish the thread bot would put things in their right place. Anyway! A new trailer: http://chud.com/articles/articles/24...END/Page1.html

Sure looks like a lot of fun.

I had a whole lot of fun playing the demo of this at PAX East. Think Viewtiful Joe but with, you know, chainsaws, guns, and of course shanks. In other words, incredible hyper violence. Fast-paced and enormously fun; when 08/25 rolls around don't hesitate to grab this off of XBLA. It's well worth it.

There's a free track from the soundtrack up here- http://shankgame.com/wp-content/uplo...8/01-shank.mp3

And they're going to give the whole thing away if they get a bunch of facebook fans.

“How’s this for some Shank fan-love – an exclusive track from Shank’s original score! The soundtrack for the game was scored by our friend and local Vancouver musician Vince De Vera, and since we've been asked about it countless times, we’re going to share his work with all of you. That’s not all… if we can get 1,500 people to show their love for Shank by joining our community here on Facebook, we’ll release the ENTIRE soundtrack for free… in all its DRM-free glory. If you’re excited about Shank, spread the love, and help unlock the full soundtrack for free, and remember that REVENGE CUTS DEEP August 24th!”

Yea I'm really anticipating this game. I'm hoping it lives up to viewtiful joe, if it even comes close its going to be awesome.

This sucker's out now and it is a ton of fun. From the stylized animation to the over-the-top violence and killer soundtrack. Nothing better then flying through the air with guns blazing, then switching to the chainsaw for the kill. Oh SHANK how I love thee.

Vince De Vera is actually a relative of mine through marriage. He's a good guy, Support them if you can!

And I'm not a fan of the thread bot putting video game articles in the main page section either.

Great old-school side scrolling fun. Stayed up way too late mashing buttons. It looks like a Robert Rodriguez film drawn by the Penny Arcade guys.

I had fun with the demo, but how much does gameplay ever vary? Watching the videos, playing the demo, it all seems pretty much the same with some different kill animations depending on your weapon.

Yeah, the demo was alright but I didn't feel like I really needed to buy it.

Not much. It is fun, but it's all over in under four hours, and there's little variation.

That's solo anyway. There's a local co-op mode I haven't tried yet.
