Saw this animated clip before a showing of The Big Lebowski at the Brooklyn Bridge "Movies with a view" series. I can't believe this really happened. It's amazing. Does anyone know if there is live footage of this game somewhere?

I think there's been a slight internet movement to get MLB Network to show the game, but I don't know if it'll happen.

You might also check out Todd Snider's song "America's Favorite Pastime," which retells the story in a catchy three minutes, and Dock's book "Dock Ellis in the Country of Baseball," which tells his life story and a lot of the racial boundaries he helped push down, as well as the work he did in rehab after he got himself clean.

Edit to add: I am such a nerd.
