Rather great costumes, but i agree that fake color contact freak me out as well.
See I generally self identify as a geek, but it's watching stuff like that that makes me realise I have my limits. That's just fancy dress. Kind of embarrassing fancy dress.

If it's something they do once or twice a year at a convention, I can't get too worked up about the level of geekery.

Nah this is true, I really am fascinated by it. I just meant more that I could never do it.

Eh, I'm less embarrassed by the people on stage than by all the idiots in the crowd cheering it on. I know it's an old saw, but why not put that much time and effort into something new and semi-original instead of copying a video game line-for-line, and why cheer it? It's a leap from there to where I'm going, but I can't help but think that stuff like this is why we have a new Spider-man series coming out less than 10 years after the most recent.

I guess they do it because it's fun.

Eh, good enough I guess. Reminds me of Jim Butcher's quote about LARPing, saying something to the effect of "As I get older, I find I have less interest in letting shame get in the way of my fun."

Reminded me of the kind of stuff you'd see at a theme park (Indiana Jones Stunt Show Spectacular, Little Mermaid stage show etc). That level of theatrical cheese and costume quality. Crowds (filled with fans of the property) eat that stuff up.

Now if I can only get those Leia slave girls to wash my car.

Just gonna leave this here:

Kindly delete the Trek girls and make that ridiculously hot Baroness photo even bigger. Thanks in advance.

If I were a little kid, that Sonic costume would scare the poops out of me.

I like how it looks like they're trying to make some sort of deal with the little girl.

That smile on the Sonic costume, so creepy.

First you suspect that Scriptgirl (or whatever she was called) was a TV Sex Toy vendor, now you call "Tranny" here (however, that last photo does have some weird lightning effect, i think).
Maybe you have some sort of issue with asian women...or something.
....Im going to get it, arent i?
If that's a tranny, he's better looking than most of the girls I've been with.
We'll never know! Where's Brian Ashcraft when you need him?

Devouring soiled schoolgirl panties from a vending machine in Shinjuku.

Also, I'd roll around in the hay with that chubby Rogue girl. Just sayin'.

Fuck you Jake the Japanese are more sexually progressive than Americans they never objectify women in their raping simulators.

I don't give a shit if she's half lizard and half alien life form. The photo's enough for me to commit.

Love Skeletor's flip flops.
he got missed but that vintage Luke Cage Powerman is pretty cool too. The baroness costume looks great too.

The sonic picture looks like they're trying to convince the kid not to tell her parents.

The chubby Rogue is one thing but I'd totally do hawkmilf.

I've not cosplayed but I've LARPed many times - it's fucking great, don't knock it till you try it!

Another live link, this is the x-men do Glee, the costumes are weak however, it's not bad but when northstar turned up i had to laugh.
