i just finished watching the newest ted bundy movie today and i have to say it was a pretty good flick and can't wait to get my hands on dahmer...i already got ed gein.....back to the bundy movie..i honestly thought the kill scenes were well done and the execution at the end was really impactful...though that left me wondering ...are the folks who brought us this trilogy of movies thinking about doing anymore?........i'd really like to see how they would handle the true story of albert fish, ramirez, and the son of sam...what do you people think?

If they make them, I will buy them.

I have seen DAHMER and ED GEIN and I was disappointed by both ...

I think that makers of DAHMER attempted to make a more character intense film, while keeping the more horrifing aspects ( cannibalism, head in 'fridge, etc )to a minimum ... And eventhough in doing so they flirted with taking the bite out of the truth of the story, it could have worked had it been the least bit interesting ... It just didn't work as a character study, and it flopped as a horror / suspense film ...

ED GEIN played out like your average made-for-TV film, less engrossing then a History Channel documentary on the famous serial killer ...

I suppose both are worth checking out, but I wish, considering to subject matter, these films could be a little more intense and gritty .... I will eventually get around to TED BUNDY though ...

Supposedly they have 'Gacy' on the way, but that's the last one I've heard of. I just got the serial killer box set yestreday, will be reviewing them soon enough...I really hope they can maintain the ole' interest...

I'd like to see the Mark Harmon Ted Bundy flick again. I remember that being good.

I remember being creeped severely by that lil M.O.W. as well Charlie...

*Derailing slightly on a made-for-tv-style-siding: Have to give a respectful nod toward the humungous clown-faced chops of everyone's favourite fat friendly cop and Odyssey Video shareholder Brian Dennehy in To Catch A Killer.*

I was astonished by Bundy. Not for all the right reasons I'm thinking.

Larry-Clark-fist-magnet-faced savious of the British distribution circuit (see my post in the Asian Film Thread) Metro Tartan's Hamish McAlpine could do a hell of a lot worse though. Good to see him revelling in the grue...

on the way w/ gacy eh?.....that might be really good ..if done right....but still i have to admit the albert fish story would be more horrifying and probably have more of a chance of being one of the most graphic serial killer films of all time....again, if done right...

Well, with these i am more impressed by a nod to accurracy than over the top shocks. Dahmer didn't flaunt body parts, most killers don't. they end up treating them like mundane items, because for them they often are. Doesn't make for sensational horror, but makes for telling the story well to leave it subdued.

/shrug.

Just my take.
