Batman: The films, the tv-shows, the animation. - Page 23

Oh god, stop with that awful CG animation already Japan. You already ruined the second season of Berserk that way.

Cool concept. Would have been better traditionally animated.

That animation was damn good! Better than the crap most DC animated films feature.

I agree. Say what you want about the giant robots and ninja gorillas, but the animation was great.

Batman Ninja looks amazing.

I like how the Japanese interpretation of Penguin is just Danny DeVito.

Bart right now:

I mean, if it's just talking about early drafts that have Two-Face and Catwoman looking for buried treasure in the Batcave or Robin as a mechanic helping fix the Batmobile, I've heard it.

Because I'm the best.

You're not fooling us. We know, Bart. We know.

MM, if I plan for my birthday get-together to be at Unos in two weeks, will you attend? Will we finally eat the damn pizza?

Why are you using CHUD for this? Have you lost my mobile number? Does FB messaging no longer work for you? WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU?!

Because it's funny!

Also, that video left out Sean Young being cast as Catwoman and then replaced by Pfeiffer.

Noooooooooooo

Sean Young was Vicki Vale in the first movie, fell off a horse and broke her arm (making for a script change from Bruce and Vicki's first date being them horseriding to them having that awkward long table dinner), and was replaced by Basinger. For Batman Returns she showed up on the studio lot in costume trying to force an audition from Burton, but he didn't allow it.

Oh, that's right. I was getting her roles in the two films mixed up.

She remains batshit crazy to this day.*

*see what I did there?

I feel bad for Young. Her being back-to-back replaced on Batman and Dick Tracy really damaged her career after a lot of success in the '80s.

As did, you know, her being a loon.

MM, shaming the mentally ill!

I'm all for having a much stronger safety net for anyone struggling with mental illness.

Doesn't mean they should be cast in every role they want!

Also: you're a poopy head.

So Unos?

I just googled UNOS and it told me it was the United Network for Organ Sharing. I don't recommend eating there, Michael. Don't let Bart share his organs with you!!!!

He already has.

J/K.

Unos is a chain pizza place here in the colonies, Sax.

Yes! Batman Returns. That movie will likely always be my favorite Bat-flick.

My almost-3-year old became obsessed with "The Nighmare Before Christmas" over the holidays. It's to date the only full movie he will sit still for. So I'm planning to make "Returns" his introduction to feature length Batman... I mean, they're practically the same movie.

I have that same story only, funnily enough, it was Batman Returns. He was engrossed every time the Penguin showed up.

I remember a lot of the damaging rumours concerning Sean Young were stoked by James Woods.  Anyone want to defend the 'James Woods' frame of mind?

Yeah, given the last few months, it's hard not to wonder how much of Young's career trajectory may have been a result of "the culture" exacerbating any mental illness that may have been there to begin with.

But all I know is that back in the 80's I would've told her of my homeworld anytime she wanted.

I've read a couple of interviews with Young. My loon comments on based on that. I don't doubt that Woods and the Hollywood Pig Cabal exacerbated it. But showing up, unasked, in costume at the studio begging for a part isn't the smartest, healthiest move.

Made worse by going on Joan Rivers to talk about it. *cringy*

What a kook.

Well, I'm convinced. Michelle who?!

I was surprised that Scooby Doo and Batman uses a very famous Batman story for its mystery. Also Brave and the Bold is still damn delightful.

Hot take: Nolan and Snyder get the character more right than Burton.

Hotter take: Nolan downplays Bat's craziness.

Hottest take: Val Kilmer nailed it!

Stop it, Michael.

That much isn't really debatable, is it?

Yeah, so I went to a Mellow Mushroom in Kentucky and this was outside.

I believe Bats having a gold-plated crotch guard might be a first.

Maybe Supes has been getting handsy and it's made out of kryptonite

Clooney, of course, had to settle for silver.

Is the pizza at Mellow Mushroom as bad as that statue? If all I have to go on is their lawn art, I would not eat there.

Mellow Mushroom pizza is fucking great.
