Games you got 100% on

Not counting linear stuff like Turtles in Time, what games were you compelled to finish everything? Every time I play Super Mario World I have to find all 96 exits. I've only got to on 100% Link to the Past once when I was a kid and I'll probably never fully complete Red Dead Redemption. Strangely I felt the need to make The Godfather my bitch.

Pretty much all the Mario games from World onwards. Metroid Prime, too.
Ha, literally the only game I've ever 100%ed was Super Mario World. I guess it wasn't that difficult to do.
There's one last hidden exit, I think on the bridge level between the cave zone and the forest zone, that drove me up the fucking wall. When I finally found it I had to show everyone I knew. Ah, to be young again.

GTA III and Vice City without any cheating, Super Mario Galaxy, and I have no idea with most older games.

I remember sitting down and figuring out how to get 100% on 'Pitfall' for the Atari 2600. It's a timed game, and there's no way to go through every single above ground screen in the time given to you. You HAVE to use the underground tunnels, as each tunnel page was the equivalent of 3 surface pages. Using the tunnels and using some strategic back-tracking, you could get to all of the treasure. We mapped it out one day (going both left and right) and figured out a strategy.

With him guiding and me playing, we beat the game. It took several tries because of death, but we did it.

Although I'm sure that I completed games before it, the first game that I explicitly remember getting 100% on was Metroid Prime. I have probably played through that game in its entirety at least a half dozen times, not counting partial playthroughs. I also got 100% on MP2 & MP3. Also, back in college, my roommates and I played countless hours of Smash Bros Melee and got 100% of all the unlockables in that game (characters, stages, music, trophies, etc).

As far as more current games go, I completed 100% of both Assassin's Creed games (yes, even the pointless flags in the 1st game). I got 100% on the Complete Saga version of Lego Star Wars. I've got 100% on Bully. Technically I've played through 100% of Oblivion plus expansions and Fallout 3 plus expansions, but those games are so large I'm sure there are a tons of nooks and crannies that I never found. At one point, I had done 100% of Dragon Age, but I haven't played any of the post-launch DLC yet. Most recently, I got to the 100% mark in Red Dead Redemption.

I tend to try and get the most out of my games, so I at least like to attempt to get to 100% (especially if the game tracks that sort of thing).

Lego Star Wars I & II and the combined game
Lego Batman
Lego Indiana Jones
Ultimate Alliance
Ultimate Alliance 2

That's all I can think of at the moment.

I'm pretty sure that despite setting it as a goal for myself multiple times, the answer is none ever.

Jak and Daxter - worst payoff for getting to 100% I can imagine. You get all the orbs, they open a door, light shines in your face, and all you see is the characters eyes get bigger.... credits. Fuck that shit. At least give me a new gun, different color outfit, something that won't make me want to snap the disc in half

Twisted Metal 2, 3, and Black

I don't know how anyone can get to 100% on GTA without cheating. Even if I had the time, it's just too much work(mainly because of the hidden packages). When I killed a pigeon in GTA IV and found out there were 199 more, I gave up on looking for them real quick.

Got to 100% in Gun. Just started playing Red Dead, which, while awesome, is incredibly similar. I've been playing for almost 10+ hours and have only done like 5-7 actual missions, the rest has been all the side shit that keeps popping up.

The only game it ever mattered to get 100% is Red Dead Redemption, so I did. I usually don't even check. I do kind of wonder what I may have missed on Bioshock, if anything. That's the only other game I'd consider revisiting.

Same answer for me, though I don't think never even set it as a goal for myself before. I just don't have the OCD gene for games, I guess. I simply don't give a shit. Finishing the "main" game is enough for me, and I often don't even do that.

Cant say Ive ever bothered with these kind of thing or even achievements myself; hell, Im just collecting in Just Cause 2 to upgrade stuff and unlock more items in the market.
RDR does entice me to finally achieve 100% in it though.
I've only ever gotten 100% in two games: Borderlands (pre DLC) and somewhat embarassingly, the Wheel of Fortune PSN game.

I'm ashamed to admit that the only game I've S-Ranked since the advent of achievements is Viking for the Xbox 360. Prior to that the only game I can think of that I put in the time to wring all the juice out of was the original Deus Ex.

These days seeing everything that a game has to offer seems to require multiple playthroughs at different difficulties and committing serious time to multiplayer. I'm not gonna be so self-important to say that I don't have time for that sort of thing, but come on. I play games for fun.

Ditto. I tend to lose interest in the games eventually
post #17 of 33
Not really 100%ing it but I remember getting Silent Assassin rating for every level on Hitman Blood Money and pointlessly collecting every weapon for 47's hideout. I loved that game.

I think I've only done it on Vice City, Assassins Creed 2 and Red Dead Redemption which was the only one that was really fun and enjoyable to do.

Has anyone done it for The Saboteur? The amount of stuff to blow up seemed infinite

This thread compelled me to break out the ol' SNES to play Super Mario World again. Holy shit, do I suck. I really lost it.

And I know I got everything on this game long time ago. I wonder why it only says 70 something now...

I'm still awesome at SMW. Mario games have always been like riding a bike for me. The Special world still makes me scream at the ceiling though.
Mario World, Super Metroid, Metroid Prime 1 and 2, and Symphony of the Night (well, technically, 201%). That's it.
Batman Arkham Asylum, Uncharted 1, and almost Just Cause 2...

(me playing Special World: TUBULAR on Super Mario World )

"SUNUVABIIIIIITCH!!!!!!"

Off the top of my head: every Mario and Zelda game on NES plus the original Metroid, Super Mario World, Link to the Past, Super Metroid, Chrono Trigger, Goldeneye, Ocarina of Time, Perfect Dark (yeah, I was totally a Nintendo kid).

I've only had an Xbox since Christmas, so I haven't played a whole bunch of games for it, but I've 100%'d Lego Batman and Arkham Asylum, pretty sure I did it on Fable II. Working through Dragon Age right now.

FF VII – Mastered Every Materia, Got Every Character to 99, Killed Ultima, Emerald and Ruby Weapon

FF VIII – Got all GFs and killed Omega Weapon

FFX – All Legendary Weapons, All Monster Arena Critters killed, all Dark Aeons killed, Penance Killed.

Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time – All Heart Pieces, all Skultulas, biggest quiver, biggest bomb bag.

Majora’s Mask – All masks collected, all heart pieces collected.

Donkey Kong 64 – I collected EVERYTHING

GTA: Vice City – 100%
GTA: San Andrea – 100%
GTA 4 – 100%

And using Achievements as a barometer I’ve fully completed:

Mass Effect
Red Dead Redemption
Hitman Contracts
Just Cause
Just Cause 2 – Only got to 78% though
Dragon Age: Origins
Borderlands
BioShock
Assassin’s Creed
Assassin’s Creed 2
Viking: Battle for Asgard
Fallout 3
Red Faction: Guerilla
The Godfather II

Indeed it is. It's a ridiculously short level too!

I maxed out GTA3, with no deaths (just reloaded if I got busted or died).

At the end of the game I had insane weaponry, the Dodo airplane parked in my garage downtown (flew it over the bay by the skin of me teeth), and - most impressively, I think - a legitimately stolen FBI squad car. Boosting one of those, without any cheat, is massively difficult.

Dark Cloud 2. I don't know why, but I felt compelled to build every single weapon in the game (which is an amazing pain in the ass, since most weapons branch off into multiple endpoints, so you have to level multiple gear) and maxed out all my towns in appropriately creative fashion. I didn't technically get 100% though because I quit the game on the secret chapter, after I realized the stupid fucking game had autosaved and you no longer had access to the girl, which was fully half the lineup. Supremely irritated by that.

I love Tubular in SMW. Truly a test of Mario skill.

I was always proud of the tank I had in my garage. Of course, the day I managed to legitimately steal the tank and get it to save in my garage was the day I stopped doing anything but driving around in a tank and blowing things/people up (or rolling over).

The forest level later on (Outrageous?) is also a bitch.

Red Dead Redemption (100% in single player but I don't have all the achievements) and Batman: Arkham Asylum. Both pretty easy to get 100% on. I'm not the serious gamer that I was when I was younger. I've gotten all 1000 achievement points on King Kong, Fight Night Round 3, and Call of Duty 2, but I think those were all pretty much linear.

Same here.

I tried to get to 100% on GTA: Vice City and San Andreas, but alas I never did.

Edit: I did get 100% on Resistence I and II. Though neither was particularly difficult.

I remember beating the majority of Marvel based titles from the PSone era onwards.

I remember beating all the Mario and Zelda games, but the only one I think I got a 100% complete on was Ocarina of Time.

Castlevania: Symphony of Night got the 201% or whatever it was.

My latest is Red Dead Redemption.
