And apropos of nothing, it has been exactly one year to the day that I uploaded the first story - "Last Tuesday" - for download to the Amazon Kindle. I could write 3,500 words on everything I've learned from doing all this ass-backwards (possible title: 'Learn From My Kindle Fail'), but as I only had one pie-in-the-sky hope for the thing - that people would still be downloading these things a year on - well, mission accomplished.
