The first video. Yeah, that reminds me of the time when Batman confronted a drug dealer and then snitched to the cops when he wouldn't leave.

If these people don't end up getting stabbed or shot or falling to their deaths, then I'll be amazed. And disappointed.

That's exactly what will happen. I wonder how serious they are. Which begs the question; Why the costumes? Why do you need a costume to intervine in a mugging?

It's a sad indictment of the society that people feel pushed to that though. Obviously yes, terrible idea likely to end in tradedy. However, why do we have murderous "drug dealers"* that need confronting in the first place? Drug laws, that's why. Perhaps if these people started a protest instead of a street fight, they might effect some actual change

*or drug addict criminals commiting crimes to get drugs

The same reason most comic book characters give.

Symbolism, protection of identity, element of surprise (or jeer), etc.
