Yeah, that and the fact that meat tastes like murder and murder tastes pretty fucking good. Anyways though, in case you didn't know, that isn't a typo what I wrote. Google it. Then shudder.

I have to throw a little mustard in as well and not sure that equal parts works. I need more mayo.

I HATE Nayonnaise, I think that stuff is nasty.

Luckily I have a solution for you! Presenting Grape Seed Oil Vegenaise!

It's made EXACTLY the same way as regular mayonnaise like Hellman's is except they substitute grape seed oil for the eggs. It's literally identical in taste and consistency, the only difference is that it's less yellowish because of the no egg yolks.

I've had a bunch of people, vegan and non-vegan alike, try it and they've all said it smells and tastes totally awesome. My boyfriend devours it like there's no tomorrow!

If you can't find it for sale anywhere in your area I'm betting you could order it online. It's totally worth it.

If I try that and nearly vomit like I did with Nayonnaise is it alright to e-hate you relentlessly?

Yes! It absolutely is because you won't, I promise.

Nayonnaise seriously tastes disgusting, I don't even know how it has been available for so long. SOMEONE keeps buying it for some reason. It has the worst after taste, vile vile product.

Vegenaise is just mayonnaise with a different kind of fat than eggs. No soy, no tofu, no funny after taste, no nothing except delicious. It's super creamy and awesome and it doesn't have all the cholesterol of regular mayo either.

EDIT: Oh yeah but when you get it make sure you get the GRAPESEED OIL one with the purple label for maximum orgasmic goodness. The original one with the blue label is pretty tasty but it isn't quite as thick or flavourful, and I don't know what they do to the organic one with the gold label but it's kind of meh. But the PURPLE label!!! The purple label stuff is where it's at, I go through jars and jars of it.

I've never eaten there so I can't say. And yeah...I guess that it kinda IS Thousand Island Dressing; I never realized that before.

Please. Never, ever again mention mayonnaise and orgasmic in the same breath. Ever. Again.

It pretty much is. It's also the recipe for fry sauce, if it's 1 part ketchup to 2 parts mayonnaise.

I've actually seen some very creative uses of marinara.

Finally found the ingredients in that Vegan Carrot Cake, but lost the page with the required temp. I'd guess 350 for about 20 mins, varying by oven.

2 cups grated carrot
1 1/2 cups raisins
2 cups water
1 1/2 tsp cinnamon
1 1/2 tsp allspice
1/2 tsp clove
1 cup sugar
1/2 tsp salt
3 cup flour
1 cup soy milk
1 1/2 tsp baking soda

Vegan Cream Cheese Frosting

1 container Toffuit Better Than Cream Cheese
1/2 cup soy margarine
2 cups powdered sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 1/2 tsp lemon juice

Combine cream cheese and margarine
Slowly add powerded sugar, then vanilla and lemon juice

That sounds really good! I love carrot cake.

I just found this recipe for black bean burgers that has me drooling! I'm definitely making this soon, black bean burgers are my favourite. Especially if there's guacamole and mango salsa involved.

WG, you can get Daiya at any Whole Foods, I think. Do you have those up there?

We call that "fancy sauce".

We do! But no Daiya yet, it's just slow making it to my area I guess.

It is available in restaurants though, yesterday I tried it for the first time ever at a totally vegan restaurant that's not too far from my house. Boy did I feel silly when I discovered that place had been there the whole time!

I had a slice of pizza with olives, mushrooms, artichokes, sundried tomatoes and Daiya mozzeralla. It was really good! My only complaint is that they put it on a little too thick, it's so creamy you really don't need all that much. I'm totally going to order some myself and make my own pizza with maybe half the amount. The creamy texture almost reminds me of the grilled cheese my Mom used to make me with Kraft singles when I was a kid, this stuff would ROCK in grilled cheese.

I'm in the mood for Indian food! Here's my favourite curry recipe:

Mix Veg Curry (Restaurant Style)

Ingredients:

1 large onion
4 cloves of garlic
1 inch cube of ginger
a squirt of tomato puree
various mixed vegetables (potatoes, cabbage, carrots etc.)
2 teaspoons ground cumin
2 teaspoons ground coriander
1/2 teaspoon ground turmeric
chili powder
some chopped coriander (cilantro) leaves
some chopped methi (fenugreek) leaves
salt
sugar (jagerry)
water

Directions:

Right, first off I don’t believe in exact measurements....go with what you feel is right, the above is a guideline only!!!

Prepare the vegetables:

Chop them into the sort of size pieces you like, and fry them until pretty much cooked in a nice helping of veg oil. Put to one side.

Now make the curry gravy:

Thinly slice the onion, garlic and ginger and fry in a generous helping of veg oil. Don’t be afraid to use a lot of oil, the more oil you use the better the curry will be!! Fry this gently for about 20 minutes making sure you don’t burn it.... add a little water here and there to loosen up the mix a bit and to stop it sticking and burning.

When the onions, garlic and ginger are well cooked and very soft and sweet, add the half teaspoon of ground turmeric, 1 teaspoon of the ground cumin, 1 teaspoon of the ground coriander, the squirt of tomato puree and some chopped coriander (cilantro) leaves. Carry on frying for a couple of minutes. Now, when this is done, add some water and process in a food processor/blender making a smooth puree. You have now made the basis for pretty much every restaurant curry on the menu!

Assemble and create the dish:

Put some oil in a hot pan, again don’t be afraid with the oil! Fry the remaining spices quickly without burning, add the already cooked vegetables, and top with some of the curry gravy. Add the fresh herbs, salt and a bit of sugar and that’s it! Cook it until you get the thickness of sauce you want.

Serves: 4

Preparation time: 1 hour

Serve with rice, naan, veggie samosas and chutney. Amazing!
