The Simpsons Movie where Homer falls off the motorbike at the top of the Wheel of Death.

A mad rush to get somewhere. From Eddie Kay Thomas running to the bathroom because Stiffler put a laxative in his coffee in American Pie to Kevin Bacon rushing his wife to the hospital in She's Having a Baby(love it when they drive past the hospital) to Ferris Bueller's mad rush to beat his parents home. I just love the trope.

Perry is aces in that movie.

It also has my favorite gag ever, where someone runs into a wall or something.

In TW9Y when perry leaves his house in a huff, slamming the glass door, and you can see him walk alllll the way across the yard, do something, then walk allll the way back and raise his arm to say something then slams into the window.

or in Almost Famous when Faruza Balk is running along side the bus talking to the kid and gets half way through the message before running into a brick wall.

love it

The Whole Nine Yards really is an underrated little comedy. Amanda Peet is great in it.

ETA: As far as actual, classic gags go you can always get me with a good spit take.
Probably my favorite little bit from Clue is when Curry runs into a wall in a dark room, feels a knob, exclaims "Another door!?!" twists the knob, followed a beat later by a shower faucet dousing him. The sheer level of incredulity in his voice on that line reading, and the perfect rhythm of the action and that brief little beat before the water are killer.

Also love that the gunshot that kills the singing telegram falls on next beat of the song she's singing.

And the fact that he just stathere taking a face full of water without reacting is the icing on the cake.

Dammit, I'm gonna have to watch CLUE again tonight.
