Tonight on the Family Channel!

Two minutes in and Donna's father from That 70's Show has already popped up. Matchstick and I are liveblogging here. Sadly.
Melissa Joan Hart. Still huggable.

When did sitcom theme songs become five seconds long?
Thread Starter
Wh...they just made a joke about the word "cunt." This is the Family Channel for Christ's sake.
Yes, they did.

Huggable.

She and Lawrence look the same as they did 10 years ago, except for his hair. Must be some kind of voodoo deal.
What is happening with his hair. Must go on IMDB to get the theories. Be back....

I can speak with some expertise on this,* it looks like he's got a bald spot in the middle and he shaved the rest to beat it to the punch.

*Because I'm bald and I shave my head, not because I'm an expert on Joey Lawrence's hair.
WHERE DID JOEY LAWRENCE'S HAIR GO?

EDIT: Vaginal pronounced "Va-gine-all"?
Title of two threads in on IMDB Joey Lawrence discussion boards:

"no pit hair?"

and

"Joey Lawrence Has a Big Butt Like a Woman"

Proof (according to poster):

Shit. We broke Ripoll. I feel terrible.

Also, they've said bastard, pissed, and vagino-American. Also that cunt joke. The Family Channel?
According to Joey, they are pushing the boundaries of the Family Channel.

The sad part is I read that in an interview about the show.

Weeks ago.

Should we be watching Make It or Break It, too?
I hope a character walks in and says, "Why's Yul Brynner up in this bitch washing delicates?"

"Who's your nanny? Captain Picard? HAW HAW HAW."

You say that as if the curiosity of why cops would be showing up at a Olympic hopeful's door isn't already eating you inside.

Plus, coach-lovin'?!?!?

If Pretty Little Liars didn't suck me in (yet), I think I can resist Make It or Break It.

Maybe.

I knew someone in college that worked on MJH's post-Clarissa Explains All show.

This is pretty awful, even by my admittedly low standards.
Really. I'm kind of enjoying it.

You went to college with Caroline Rhea?
Don't know if Ripoll is still out there, but he decides the yea/nay tie-break.

I've seen every episode of Saved by the Bell multiple times. I'm not jumping ship yet.

I--did they just make a cum joke?
"Would you like to come in and, um, come in?"

Written by Kevin Smith.

Ah, bulimia humor. Classic.
This show is so weird, Will.

I can't figure out who the audience is supposed to be. It's inappropriate (holy shit, I'm old) for family viewing, and it's too shitty for adults. That leaves...well, you and me. And Ripoll, if he comes back.
Wait, did I just see that Vampires Suck is opening TOMORROW?

I am having trouble reconciling the stars with the material with the aesthetic.

Yep. It's like the leads got crammed on this show, which then got crammed on the Family Channel because they used to be child stars.
I'll be Season Passing this, by the way. I expect the same from you two.

See You Next Tuesday.

Get...it?

The first 30 seconds of Make it or Break it were all I needed.

"You didn't start helping them til you started helping yourself...to Emily Kmetko's mother..."

This makes perfect Tuesday night viewing with Louie!

My current working theory is that the reviewer saw this

at a critical time in his life. Only explanation I can figure for his love, nay, luff of MJH.
Actually, I thought the same thing (kinda, and less eloquently) while watching the show tonight.
If you were true fans, you would have also been following MJH's simul-Twitter during the show.

Not that I was. Or that I follow her on Twitter to know such things exist.
So this is the new awful, huh?

Looks like I'm going to give my childhood a hurtin'.

They showed the eps again last night. I may/may not have watched them again after I got home from having a few beers.

I hate myself.
First off, thanks for the new thread to read guys. I hope this can live up to the masterwork that was the season 1 90210 thread.

Second :It's a hit!!!

Tacos, check. Beer, check. Girlfriend at her place so she doesn't know how sad I am, check. Unfortunately, Matchstick is at work so I'm on my own.

I'm sorry I'm late, what did I miss? Joey met a cute girl?

I think he's wearing a modern day Members Only jacket. My birthday's in February. Remember that.

Ripoll, yes! Yeah, he met a girl (Melissa's old sorority sister), but Melissa made him lie about what he does. If he's happy and dating, he'll keep cooking good meals for all of them.

You know why I'm going to Heaven? I don't wear v-neck t-shirts.

She needs to checking behind her before she makes metaphors.

Also, literal blueballs = hilarious always.

Ah, kidney donation and pee jokes. The ol' sitcom staple.
Goddamn it. Why must my eyes not be able to see this right now?
Is there another reason for the daughter's funny hat?
Thread Starter
Not going to lie to you, the Asian friend is teh cuteness.

ETA: The daughter got a bad haircut, tried to fix it herself, and made it worse.
One thing I've learned about bad sitcom jokes is, when you take away the context, they work much better as non-sequiturs. The hat thing actually made me laugh.
