Gonna miss having you around, sir. I hope you get to keep writing somewhere, that it's still financially and personally fulfilling and that I get to keep reading it.

That said, with a couple of the various things floating around (and piecing together a few of the things that I've seen you say), my detective's nose is saying to me that I'm going to be really pleased that I'm now in Los Angeles.

This sums up everything I intended to post after reading the news. My favorite writer leaving my favorite site brings mixed emotions, and while I figured it would happen eventually I thought it wouldn't be for years so it definitely comes as a shock. I wish you luck, and since it sounds like you've got good things lined up, congratulations, but this is a bummer for CHUD. Not that the other writers aren't great or that new talent won't step up to the plate but you're such a major, important presence here. As others have said it's going to be really weird not having you around.

Kidding. Devin's new gig is amazing. I'm proud of him and a bit envious. Very proud of him. And frankly, he made this place his home while I was chasing shark shaped windmills.

I expect everyone to hang around and give a post-Devin CHUD a fair shake.

I'm both sad and happy at the same time. Sad that CHUD will lose an intelligent and insightful writer like Devin and happy that Devin has some great opportunities waiting in the wings.

Life is always about rolling with the punches and trying to grow as a person. It's great to see you evolve so triumphantly over the years and your willingness to continue down that same path.

Oh yeah, I'm definitely still excited for the upcoming revamp, the new mystery site, Renn becoming full time, and hopefully some other new(/ish) voices stepping up. This is a big change, one that will be harder to get used to than any other in the site's history so far (at least since I've been reading it), but CHUD will undoubtedly remain my favorite and most read movie site.

You've made me look at film with a deeper and more critical eye, and as an aspiring screenwriter, that's been an invaluable service to me. You've made me question assumptions, and you've even made me reverse positions that I argued vehemently.

I hope CHUDSPLOITATION continues. It still won't be the same without Devin's brand of humor while he wrote up an article about a guy giving broads enemas.

CHUD is an amazing site, and I'll be sticking around on the boards until the rapture occurs.

I'll echo most of what everyone is saying here - really loved reading Devin's reviews, and it definitely got me to see films that maybe I would have given a pass on or that I wouldn't have otherwise even heard of. The list of films is far too long, but thanks for opening up my critical eye & mind when viewing different movies over the past several years.

Will play echo chamber and reiterate all the sentiments expressed here. Devin's become my go-to voice in film and over my 6 years here at CHUD I've managed to learn untold amounts from him, both directly and indirectly. I'm incredibly excited about the various new directions for our favorite place online, but I'm certainly gonna miss having him be a part of the team.
