X2

Yeah not horror but it's comics and as far as I'm concerned 1 in the same along with sci-fi....

Great movie! Wow! Nightcrawler ruled along with the rest and it was great to see more Wolverine action! The first one was excellent, IMO, this one is better.

I just got back from seeing X2 and man, I was blown away. Alan Cummings fucking NAILED Nightcrawler and the characterizations of the other characters gained a lot more depth. I am very impressed and really hope we see many more of these films over the next few years.

Bryan Singer has not let the fans of the comic book down at all, even with the screwing of the time lines and stuff.

Yeah that fucking kicked all sorts of fanboy ass.

BUT... My theater had the trailor for 28 Days Later . I gotta tell ya, even though I've already seen it, it was nice to see it up on the big screen like that. I'll be there opening night for that one.

I will be there for 28 DAYS LATER too, gladly throwing my 5 to 8 bucks in a few times to show solidarity, but egad man, the picture quality...
It's not much better than the *ahem* version I have been lucky enough to see.

I'm pumped for 28 days later but that trailer didn't do much for me. The Matrix trailer on X2 freakin rocked though!

Loved X2 - a blast for comic fans. But I wonder how many horror fans noticed that Bobby Drake's father is "Howard" from My Bloody Valentine. I forget the actor's name (and I'm too lazy to go look it up) but he was also in a small role in Final Destination 2. Wonder why he's suddenly started cropping up in films again.

This series would have been so much cooler if they decided to keep the orignal costumes.

Believe it or not, that would've been completely ridiculous.

Saw "X2" on Friday night with a packed house. I absolutely LOVE IT. A vast improvement on the first. All the characters I wanted fleshed out were given a little more screen time (Mystique), and new characters didn't fade into the background (well, except for Lady D).

And, well, there were horrific elements...what Stryker's wife did, the flashback sequences, etc.
What impressed me is that people died in this one. Alot of people. Casually, sometimes.

The 28 Days trailer is horrible (I still very much want to see it, though). The film quality of the trailer we saw in front of Confidence was so bad, it game Real Player a good name. The one in front of X2 was much better quality, but the trailer itself is still painful to watch.

Alright Dolarhyde, you've officially freaked me out:

I hadn't looked at this thread until this morning, but the fact is, I hit X2 last night and then came home and watched my new DVD copy of My Bloody Valentine. I didn't notice the connection at all, I merely watched it because I finally bought it that day.

Weird. (And, on a related note, I'm sure everyone read my post last week regarding Kelly Hu's death at the hands of Jason Voorhees in Jason Takes Manhattan.)

The movie was shot on digital video and is obviously meant to look that way.

It might be meant to look that way, but it looks horrible. I thought I had cataracts.

I disagree with you, but hey it's just me I suppose.

X2 was great. I saw it twice on friday. And i want to see 28 days really bad but the new trailer i saw wasnt very impressive. I dont mean that the 'look' looked bad... but the trailer didnt do much to make the movie look interesting. I prefer the shorter preview i saw in front of HO1K.
That's exactely what I mean about that trailer, well both, it just doesn't excite me and truthfully if I didn't already know alot about the movie I'd probably wind up skipping the theatrical release.

Dolarhyde that's crazy that you made that connection between X2 and MBV! Nice call.

I'm glad I'm not the only one that thinks the 28 Days Later trailer sucks.
