Definitely agree that this is the ideal kind of movie to be in 3D. I haven't seen it in 2D, so I can't compare, but the post-conversion 3D really didn't do it for me. It wasn't too murky, it wasn't too dark, but it wasn't too impressive either. I think the botched 3D puke was the biggest offense.

If tickets were the same price either way, it wouldn't be an issue. But from what I've gathered, if tickets were the same price, 3D probably wouldn't exist outside of a select few releases every year.

Thanks for the tip, Nick. Good to know that it can work for some people (especially those that do not have an axe to grind against 3D when they walk in).

I didn't even know they were showing it in 2D anywhere. The only places I've seen have been 3D.

It was a glorious piece of film- best time in the theater I've had all year. Some wonderful parent brought their young spawn to the midnight Thursday showing...while the father was wearing a shirt that said "World's Greatest Dad." Ballsy.

That was completely off-topic. Sorry.

I thought the 3D worked relatively well, especially compared to most of the terrible post conversions that we've been treated to over the past year or so. Nothing really felt especially 3D, but it was all worth it for some 3D Jerry O'Connell junk.*

*A sentence I never thought I would ever type...

I disagree that the 3D wasn't prohibitively dark during some of the underwater sequences, but when they go for trashy and try not to get too clever, it really works.
ETA: Although the dimness of the image could very well be the theater's fault.

Haven't seen this movie yet, but were the boobs in this movie in 3-D as well? That alone may be worth the price of admission.

The promise of Kelly Brook in 3-D remains the one and thus far only needed selling point for me. Should be seeing it this Thursday, Cthulhu willing.

There's definitely plenty of nakedness on her part. Don't want to spoil anything, but there's a scene where she definitely flashes her vag to the camera. I was actually impressed that they got away with it.
