The poster for Stone is here. Now beat down your giant newly engorged cocks.

I had a Norton binge last week, rewatching American History X and 25th Hour for the first time in years. Cornrows and all, this one is my last, best hope for him returning to that early greatness. Fingers crossed...

I wish Jovovich all the luck in getting better roles. She was great in A Perfect Getaway, so she gets a (multi)pass for any future Resident Evil films and that upcoming thriller about face-blindness.

P.S. Stone has a character named Sincere Inmate #2.

More recently, I thought he was pretty great in Down in the Valley.

Oh lord, how forgettable was The Score? I remember absolutely nothing about it.

Cool, I'll check that one out if I get the chance - still haven't caught up with some of his more obscure indie efforts.

I'd say Jovovich is currently more viable financially than the other two. Norton just got publicly fired off a franchise and DeNiro is often a check-cashing service these days.

DeNiro's last good & successful movie was over a decade ago. I'm not sure Norton has ever headlined a hit. I can only name two women that can carry a non-rom-com, and Milla's one of them.

Plus, you know who else is currently getting billing on near-equal footing with DeNiro? Steven Seagal's growing torso.

I really, really hate to be so shallow, but... cornrows?! Fucking cornrows?! Really?

I feel you, Joeypants. You just know Norton requested that haircut.

I was coming to the thread to say just that. I've always been very fond of her, the Resident Evil franchise is wank but Im glad it's successful.

i love her

This was very bad. The basic idea could have worked, but the script shoes in religious undertones that are just terrible.

The leads are good though. Jovovich gets naked.

I've got a review copy sitting here, and the fact that I hadn't heard ANYTHING about it, despite its cast, has me very hesitant to put it in the player.

The review seems pretty spot-on to me. The opening scenes don't just hint at something awful yet to come, they practically scream for it. Yet nothing that big ever happens again, and while those scenes were haunting me as a viewer, they don't seem especially impactful on the characters involved.

As a "decent, but not great" drama, I'd definitely recommend it over "decent, but not great" action films or comedies, as at least you'll remember watching STONE... it'll just be for some memorable bits and pieces, not for the whole.
