There are plenty of examples for achievements that are legitimately difficult to get. They are there to reward you for completely something that is actually hard. This is not a thread for those kinds of achievements.
This is a thread for those that are supposed to be fairly straightforward to get, but they end up being a bitch to get.
Last night, I pulled out my copy of Civilization Revolution again because I enjoy the game. There's an achievement for getting all of the "great people" to show up. I am only missing one. You wouldn't think that it would be difficult to get the last one, but they always show up randomly. For whatever reason, my game has decided that one of these guys will never show up. I found a nice method online that makes these guys show up fairly quickly, but the entire night went by without the last one showing up. This is the first time I tried this particular method, but I have tried to get the guy to appear before, but so far no luck for me.
For this reason, the Here's Looking At You, Kid achievement in Civilization Revolution is needlessly annoying to get, at least in my case.
