I know it will probably be a huge and thankless undertaking but I think a sort of movie lexicon would be a great idea. I believe people being familiar with the techniques, rules and tools of film making from script to sound to photography will make them start evaluating movies on a level beyond "That ruled/That sucked". I know a lot of the site's writers are familiar with some sectors of movie making. Maybe some of your friends in the industry could also lend a hand.
Nothing too academic. Just a brief description and an example or two. For example: This is what blocking means. This is an example of a good director setting up a scene well. This is an example of a bad director fucking it up.
As I said I know this must a really big task but I think it would help film talk in the site and differentiate CHUD from other movie sites in a big way.
