I've gotta wonder, but has anyone asked him how he feels about the new Resident Evil movie using his name and technology to sell the film? This one is ok, but not Piranha?

Shoot miniatures dry-for-wet, then composite them horribly? Good for a laugh anyway.

RE4 has every right to promote the fact that they shot in true stereo with state-of-the-art tech. See also the Jackass folks saying (if I recall correctly) "We're gonna take the cameras they used on Avatar and stick 'em up Steve-O's ass..."

And as noted above, Cameron has other reasons (if not mature ones) to be pissy about the Piranha franchise.

No, of course not, but Resident Evil and also JAckass are part of the new wave of 3d films and wouldn't they fall into the same criticism he has of Piranha? Aren't these 2 movies "cheapening" the technology as much as Piranha? Not that I actually think that (I fully intend on being there opening day for Jackass 3d, I'm still undecided on Resident Evil), but it's what HE would think and that's the point I was trying to make.
