So like i didnt know this.
Q: Aren't the movies based on some books?
A: Yes, the trilogy of Ring, Rasen, and Loop by author Suzuki Koji. A fourth book, Birthday, is a series of short stories that includes "Lemonheart," the basis for the movie Ring 0. While the movies Ring and Rasen were adaptations of the novels, Ring 2 was an original story by director Nakata Hideo and screenwriter Takahashi Hiroshi, and portrayed events wildly different from those of the books. For more on Loop, which has yet to be adapted for the screen, see the question near the end of this page.
Got it from here- <a href="http://ringworld.somrux.com/faq.htm" target="_blank">http://ringworld.somrux.com/faq.htm</a>
So anyone seen Rasen? Is it any good? I was reading the latest Rue Morgue and the book (and from reading the facts on the other books, somewhere else)seem to be better than the movies.
i might check out that first book and hope they release the rest. it'd be interesting for the american sequel to be based more on the second book.
