Awesome! This should be fun. Good idea, Nick. I'm always amazed when I think about the fact that people from all over the country, all over the globe, come to the same place to get their movie news and reviews. It will be neat to see that truth represented physically with the post cards

You could do a big map -- pin the post cards to their origin.

Stelios, when I was on school trip to Greece in the early 90s one of the things I noticed was some highly amusing postcards. Like hardcore porn postcards. The one which stuck in my mind was a hugely endowed Afro fellow. I'm talking 3 feet. Thank god it was resting. He had it wrapped round his arm and looked content with life.

Anyway, send one of those along. Considering how sweet old birds gossip, especially those that deliver mail, Nick and the CHUD office will be very popular. Or they'll get evil stares.

Any objectionable material shall be sent discreetly. Like in an envelope with PICTURES OF COCKS AND BALLS written outside.

I just remembered I totally spaced on doing this. I have an ALADIN postcard with CHUD's name on it*, and it will go out this next week!

*I have some books of limited edition X-FILES postcards from the 1990s, but they're in mint condition and I'm torn over the idea of tearing one out for CHUD. Not that CHUD isn't worth it, I've just been saving them for a long time now and it's tough to break down and start using them. Still, if anyone on the CHUD staff would prefer FLUKEMAN to ALADIN, post here before Monday and you'll get a fluke man card instead

I had a long debate with myself whether or not to give you one of my special X Files postcards, but ultimately I decided I'd go with one from ALADDIN instead

I have some special stamps I could use, but I'd rather keep those all as one sheet and maybe I'll just use regular stamps, if that's cool

Nick, sorry for the delay, but my post card just went out today ('bout an hour ago). I'd left it in my dad's car accidentally when I went to try and get my special stamps from my mom's house to use, and that's what resulted in my failure to send it out when I said I would. Anyway, it's on it's way now and so with any luck you should have it in short order. I don't send much snail mail so I can't say for certain how much time it should take, but I wouldn't think it would be too long at all. The card was filled out and addressed by my mom in her neatest handwriting, and initialed by me. I used my special FILMMAKING stamps because I thought you'd get a kick out of that, and I stuck on two since they are only 37 cent stamps and a big postcard costs 44 cents to mail. I went with the MAKE UP and SPECIAL EFFECTS ones (ET and FRANKENSTEIN) because of CHUD's focus on genre films. I hope it looks nice on your wall and I look forward to seeing it appear in a future STEADY LEAK!

BTW, I'd like to take a moment to encourage any Chewers who have not yet done so to consider participating and sending out a post card of their own. It's great fun and I'm glad I got to take part

500km to the north. Thessaloniki. It's the second biggest city in Greece (about 1.5m). If Athens is London I guess I live in Birmingham.

No. If you went from Athens to Sparta you definitely didn't pass through here. Opposite ends of the country.

 

Err, yes after looking at a map it appears I was incorrect.   Due to time constraints we stayed in the southern part of Greece.
