Nikita (The CW)

Thread Starter
Remake of a remake of a remake of the 1990 Luc Besson film. Premieres this Thursday.

Based on the extended preview on YouTube it doesn't look promising, but having Maggie Q, Melinda Clarke and Xander Berkeley on your show means I'll at least check out the pilot*.

* Who am I kidding, I'll watch this to see if Shane West's tough guy voice makes it to season two.

Peta Wilson always be Nikita for me.
I'll probably give it one episode due to Maggie Q's blinding hotness, but based on the preview, the ghost of Alias is going to be all over this.
Maggie Q deserves better than this horseshit.

Maggie Q is miles better than that blonde wannabe, but Anne Parrilaud shits on both of them. Fuck any Nikita incarnation beyond the original.

Agreed, as far as the Nikita TV versions go.

As for the film versions, Anne Parrilaud is clearly the winner. Bridget Fonda in Point Of No Return just didn't cut it.

Stan Lee's involved in this, somehow. He briefly boasted on it in his DragonCon panel over the weekend, though he didn't have too much to say about it besides how hot Maggie Q is.

Yeah, that trailer doesn't do much for me at all. I'll just rewatch ALIAS on DVD, thanks.

Nice to find another Peta Wilson fan here. Truth be told, the TV Series was kinda depressing at times. With Nikita being screwed over by Operations and Madeline over and over again. It doesn't help that Michael is a bore as well.

Odd, since it has a decent cast.

That show was so dark but that's what I liked about it. It was about spies and, you know, people killing people (in some cases against their will). The overall mood of the show fit the story.

As much as I loved Alias, what pissed me off about it was that at times it was too glamorous and sort of fun, which was great but not really consistent with Sidney's lifestyle.

And I LOVE Peta Wilson. She's a tough chick. I wanted to be like her back in the days, or mostly like her character. She was sort of my role model when I was 16.
The last 8 Episodes of Season 5 wrapped up the storyline fairly nicely. With Nikita now looking the part as an experienced Section Leader. The plot twist in Season 4 (That she's a Centre Mole) seemed a bit off though.

I was never much of an ALIAS fan. Something about Jennifer Garner just turns me off.

Me too. This version looks awful.

The USA show had Michael Cera a a murdering psychic child, this version has a lot to live up to.

Have you SEEN the trailer for King of Fighters? Hehehe...
Seen it? I've seen the movie. Good Buddha, its horrible.
Have you started a thread for it yet?! We must all know what Maggie Q deserves better than!

EDIT: Never mind! Found your posts about it on the B Action Movie Thread!
The King of Fighters is one horrid movie. Poorly edited fights with Ray Parks and a nonsensical plot (that you won't understand unless you've played the Videogames).

Maggie Q does get one naked bathroom scene in the beginning. And two female fighters share a Lesbian moment.

I'd settle for fun like seasons 1 & 2 of Alias, but at least I hope Nikita will not be another Covert Affairs: very, very boring with zero chemistry between the characters.

You're making sound better than it is, right?
Yup. You don't see tits in that bathroom scene. And that Lesbian kiss gets cut halfway.

On the other hand, Maggie Q gets sucked into an Interdimensional Portal with a miniskirt and Pay Parks shows up in a fight scene with a Jason Vorhess mask.

I cannot wait to see...Nikita! I never watched either the original...La Femme Nikita film, or the tv series of the same name. I did love...Point of No Return, and that is the film that caused me to be...FOND A, Bridget! As, Nikita is a...Sequel, it will be cool to see...Nikita vs Division, as opposed to another re-do, of why, Nikita is a...La Femme to be feared. If anyone else read the...New York Post today, there is a great shot of...Maggie Q in a form fitting red dress, and a, machine gun. Very Classy, and very cool indeed!
Nikita is...Awesome! Forget, Alias, and other serious, spy series, as...Maggie Q's, La Femme kicks...all kinds of ass, whilist being dressed to...Kill.
Wow, yeah, this was bad.

I can ignore a lot if the action is good, but this was pretty damn bad. Seriously, the fist fights looked so fake.
I got bored and turned it off halfway.
But, you totally missed the reveal of the mole that nobody could have ever saw coming.
I heard that the chicks are hot. True?
That can't save this show. Or it shouldn't.

But yeah, I guess the chicks are hot. But, I totally respect them for their brains.
Maggie could stand to put on a little weight. She looked skeletal in that red bikini, but I guess some dudes are into that.
I fell asleep watching this. I love Maggie Q, but if I can't stay awake it must be a snoozer.

I'll try to watch the second half today and see if it picks up steam.
felix, Nikita not only has a...Bevy Of Beauties, in it's cast, there are numerous examples of...Big, guns on display, machine guns, several types of pistols, etc. I loved, the pilot, and can't wait to see more of that....Qute actress, Maggie Q's new spy series. Lyndsy Fonseca, and Melinda Clarke also quite good in their roles as well.

True that. Makes the fight scenes look so late.

Nice write up David. Definately nothing ground-breaking, but I will stick with it for a bit at least.
Considering it's a CW show, it was okay. Nowhere near as good as Supernatural, but not a lot is. Sassy black chick was so lame. OH NO U DINT GIRLFRIEEEEEND

There's enough cool faces around to make me want to stick with it for a while.

Plus, Lyndsy Fonseca. Yeah.
I cannot wait to see, Lyndsy Fonseca...Kick-Ass, as Alex, as she moves up the ranks of...Spy High. Nikita is the...First, CW, series I have watched. I hope that it does well enough, for a full season to be green lit. Maggie Q, is...Awesome as, Nikita, as well.
Eh, I'm gonna give this a couple of episodes more. I didn't know the cute chick from Kickass was in it.

And yeah, Maggie Q should get herself some steak immediately. Not that I'd kick her out of the bed of course.
Oh crap, I thought I recognized the actress that plays Alex, but I couldn't place where. She is smokin hot. Too bad she wasn't as marketable as Maggie Q. She might have been a good Nikita. I do like Maggie Q just fine though.
Ehh I didn't hate it. Also I know im stupid but I actually was suprised when they revealed her spy. I figured they were setting her up to come into play much later in the season which would have been cool. It's a little less cool now.
I didn't think it was terrible. I loved Alias, so I'm willing to give this a shot for a few more episodes. I'm hoping the "Cleaner" sticks around for a while.

I felt the same way. I thought keeping her "associate" unknown would be a mystery that might buoy the first season and actually add an overarching level of interest to the show and then....the last five minutes happened.

Also, I know the "Cleaner" is supposed to be all badass, but every time I see that guy, I just think Sweating Bullets"...oh, and ponytail, too.

Don't think I'll bother with another episode.
You know why we know that the Cleaner is so badass? He uses a knife when he should be using a gun.

It's not like he ever let a target get away or anything.
I kinda dig the show but I have a weakness for this genre. It'll probably be just me in this thread from now on. Heh.
Don't worry, I'm sure I'll be here to laugh at you.
No way Pop Zeus, I'll be here to be laughed at too! Hell, I survived Persons Unknown. This ought to be cake.
Teitr, Styrr, There should be no teasing over enjoying a spy series as fun as...Nikita. Not only are there 2 beautiful...La Femmes, but the action is...Awe-Inspiring, and there seems to be no shortage of guns.

I enjoyed how ridiculously violent it was. The Cleaner was awesome. I think I'll enjoy it the same way I did most of 24. Ted Mosby's daughter was cool and so was Maggie Q.
I want to see this show because of Maggie Q, but I can only watch shows late at show while the children are sleeping. Is there any way to see this online?
The CW has the pilot posted on their website. I don't know if they're going to post all of them.

But, don't watch it. Seriously, don't.
neoolong, Why...Shouldn't people watch...Nikita? I love that...Action series are being produced again. Nikita is so much better than...24. That show was fairly dull.
