Jessica Simpson or Sting Ray?

This would not be flattering on anyone. Why, Jessica, why?

FAT
Oooh, let's name the zones, the zones, the zones. Let's name the zones of the open sea. Ohh, You'd better stay with me. ..mesopolagic, bathyal, abyssalpelagic. All the rest are too deep for you and me to see.
She's not working any more. Why not gain weight?
How did I know that Tati would call Jessica fat? Sigh.

Legs and arms say she isn't fat. Unflattering clothes? Yes.

She isn't fat, but the dress does not help.
Yeah, her legs look very toned. Much like those awful jeans that started this whole fat dialogue, this outfit is doing her no favors. Maybe she isn't famous enough to merit a stylist these days, but she at least needs an honest friend to say "hell no" when she wants to go outside.

She wore this outfit for her gig as "secret" judge on Project Runway's finale. I repeat, she purposely wore this outfit for Fashion Week! Her taste level is beyond questionable.
I think it's the wind. The photos I saw of her at panel, she looked good (not great admittedly).
Wasn't she just recently on the current season of Entourage?

Imaginary rep for my little squishy.

Old but awesome evidence

Also:

On how she would change her body:
Quote:
"I have a white girl booty. I don't have a big butt. I'd rather have a happy medium and take some off my chest and put it towards my butt so I could balance out a bit."
On all the press about her weight:
Quote:
"People talked about my weight for an entire year. Being famous for gaining 10lbs is ridiculous! I didn't feel as fat as everybody was making me out to be. Even the president felt he had to make a comment - although I think he was caught off guard as the picture was thrown in front of his face!"

Dropping the kids off at the pool as a euphemism for taking a shit? That's so weird. I actually heard this for the first time today while watching the first episode of The Guild. I actually commented on this to my friend.

Then it comes up again in the Jessica Simpson link.

OOooOOOohh...

My brother used to say that all the time... when he was 12!

I use pinching a loaf. But I got that from Shawshank not too long ago. I was an innocent child! Leave me alone!

The PA behind her is like "Oh no she di-in't."
What does it say about me that when I read the "Sting Ray" part of the thread title my mind thought it was a reference to this video before I remembered there's an animal called a stingray?

This. Jessica's legs have NEVER said she's "fat". Ever.
Totally the wrong outfit to wear to the Steve Irwin memorial.
I'm gonna get stoned for this, but from the shoulders to the knees, I don't see much difference between her and our beloved Mrs. Hendricks.
So did Tati really finds Christina Hendricks fat?

If so, you have a problem with weight and shit.

Jessica has never smoked but she claims to be addicted to Nicorette. "I was chewing it and it was like a party in my mouth," she told Jay Leno. "It was like fireworks and 'Oh my god, I'm talking a million miles per hour and I love this gum and what kind of gum is this? I have to have this gum.'"
You. Dumb. Idiot.

Holy shit, that is one of the most hilariously stupid things I've ever heard. I mean, if it's true that she never smoked. It sounds like something from a comedy sketch.

Tati used to be fat and lost a lot of weight. He looks great now, but clearly has body image issues. He's our Tati though, so give the kid a break. His loss is our gain. More women for us to ogle!
It's not body image issues. And joeypants is clearly a rookie here. We've been through this a million times and there's a zillion pictures of me posted everywhere.

I'm sure because a lot more people in the US have weight problems, people that are a little fat, get a pass. I'm not saying she's obese or anything. But she's a little overweight. That's a simple fact.

Also, I've never said anything bad about Christina Hendricks.

But it's not really a fact, is it? Unless you know her BMI or something?
Well, she's like 60% wider than she used to be. She's overweight.

I'm being generous. Was going to say twice her size. But that was an exaggeration.
"Fat" is a subjective term though. "Overweight" isn't, but "fat" is.

And yes, I'm one of those who takes great offense when guys go throwing the "fat" thing around at women who are a bit "overweight."
I was obese. I know fat.

This is Tati's nightmare!

ETA: There's a video on CNN of Jessica's new "curvy" jean line. In the fashion world "curvy" means fat. So I think JSim is even agreeing with Tati. :P
post #36 of 92
The above is getting close to the borderline for me, but I would sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo enjoy every moment of that.

Yeah, I'm also wider than I used to be but I am in no way fat or overweight. Hips do move apart. Happens as you age. I'll never be a 31" waist again (nor would I want to be - I would look unhealthy).
I'd pound it, but shit can we hide that picture behind a link or something with a MAYBE NSFW tag?

"Can you spare some change...and a piece of dat ass? Jesus loves you."

The issue with most of this girls is that we are now comparing them considering their exposure during periods when they were clearly below her normal' weight. Jessica Duke' made a lot of effort to wear those jeans (IMO, there a tons of similar examples).

Exactly. I'd consider it much more realistic to refer to the way Ms.Simpson used to look as 'underweight'. I think she looks pretty fucking rockin' these days personally.
I think that picture is photoshopped. There's not a spec of fat on her face. That shit distributes pretty evenly.

She wasn't underweight for Dukes of Hazzard, at least. She wasn't scrawny in that film. She was toned and you could clearly see lean muscle definition on her. Having said that, I do remember seeing her a little while after that flick was released and she looked scary-skinny. The thing is that these women get more and more praise as their waistlines get smaller and smaller. I remember when Lindsay Lohan first started to lose weight after Mean Girls came out. She wasn't as small as she is now, but she'd allegedly had the flu and lost a little weight in the hospital. Her waist was noticeably smaller when she was seen out and about again. She said in an interview that after she got out of the hospital, people suddenly started to compliment her on how good she looked and she thought, "Well, did I look bad before?" Similarly, I never heard Jessica get as much praise for her looks as she did for Dukes. After that movie was done, I'm sure she felt a ton of pressure to maintain that look, but it's impractical to expect someone to look like that forever. As long as her health's alright, fine by me.

And really, Jessica's problem isn't her size so much as it is her fashion sense. No matter what size you are, you have to dress to compliment your body. I'm in pretty good shape, but I'd look like shit in that outfit, too.

Thats a beautiful woman I don't care what anyone says.

As for some women losing weight and looking a little better i'd chalk that up to loosing a little babyfat and water weight which is anything around 10 to 15 pounds.

It really depends on the body type but it can make a positive difference and also a negative. As for Jessica I just never bought the hype thin or with weight.
Nothing wrong with the bigger chicks. There's so much more to concern yourself with in this world than a few extra pounds - I'd take Jessic Simpson, Christina Hendricks, that woman above and many even bigger than them over the accepted catwalk look. At least they look like fully grown women. When did we become such judgemental health freaks in the Western hemisphere?

The weight Jessica had during Dukes was not her normal weight. She may not have been scrawny, but she couldn't maintain that size beyond the 3 mos it took to shoot the film. She literally was not eating and working out several times a day. The only time she looked that good before Dukes was when she was a teenager. Adults don't look that thin naturally.

Chewers are pretty tolerant, save for Tati. We all seem to love the curvy the women. And honestly, who doesn't like tits and ass?
Oh, I know Chewers are a curve-friendly bunch. I was more indicting the general attitude of the modern world, where two non stick-figures making it through to the ANTM finals is hailed as a civil rights breakthrough. With all the nonsensical body-image issues clogging up the world and all the innumerable ways of doing yourself harm in the name of looks or entertainment, I just think that a)being a fat chick and b)liking fat chicks is waaaaay down at the bottom of the list of social sins.

There is nothing wrong with the woman in that picture. I think to many people are obssessed with the size zero culture that everyone else seems fat.

And this is from someone who recently lost 2 stone and is working to loose more.
