5 FAST 5 FURIOUS?

Fast Five plot details. Sounds familiar...

I think you're mistaken. 2 FAST 2 FURIOUS has (at least so far) been the BEST entry in the series.

FASTE5T AND FURIOUS is how I'd title it. Glad to see Vin getting work. I don't enjoy the FF films, but if they can help get another RIDDICK financed I'm all for it!

the homoerotic bond between Gibson and Walker makes for a damn fun film.

You are wrong. 2 Fast 2 Furious is the worst in the series. In fact Tokyo Drift is the best.

Throw down bitches!

2 Fast is indeed the worst, but the best is still the first.

If this is just essentially a re-hash of 2 Fast then maybe it will be less shitty this time.

There was a time when Dwayne Johnson was better than this. It's a bit sad that that time seems to be over.
2 FAST is the funniest one and therefore the best.
The others are boring.
2 FAST is elevated by the bromance, but the supporting characters are annoying and dull. TOKYO DRIFT at least has more entertaining side characters, like Han.

It's kind of a wash.

Vin and Walker's "too cool to even look at each other" non-chemistry puts me to sleep. The addition of JOAQUIM DE ALMIEDA in F5 is what really excites me. Here's hoping he spices things up.

When was he better than this...right around when he was making Be Cool or his later work like The Tooth Fairy. The only good thing dude has done is The Rundown. And let's be honest, it's about on par with a Fast and Furious movie.

God, that 2F2F poster
They use the same basic art for the DVD cover except, you know, with some sweet lythographic styling. God what a hilariously good bad movie. I really hope Devon Aoki's weird alien face is back as well.

The plots for these things are getting too ridiculous. Just bring it back to street racing!! These people aren't master bank robbers or anything. They race cars. They pimp cars. And, I guess according to most people here, they fuck each other in the ass. It's least exciting when they're off working for the feds or some drug kingpin. Just pimp cars and race em.

With that said, i also enjoy 2Fast the most.
They were robbers in the first one. They hijacked trucks and stuff. That was always part of the franchise.
Well, yeah ok. That's true, but that was to give the bad guys a reason to be called bad guys. It was the cars that was the focus. As the series went on, the crimes became the focus. the best balance of the 2 is of course, 2Fast.
The fourth one was on par with the first one quality wise.
2 fast is terrible, but great in that way.
I prefer the individual 2 FAST posters that showcase the hott new characters.

2 Tuff
2 BOLD!

I had successfully blocked Devon Aoki from my memory before seeing that poster. No doubt the nightmares will return again soon. So thanks for that.

Tokyo Drift is by far my favorite. I mean, what other entry has a former Home Improvement star in it? Maybe they can get JTT for this one.

Hopefully this new one will at least be fun. 4 was way too dour, and the lackluster races didn't help one bit.

Mr. Coombs -- why the hate for Devin Aoki? She was great in... wait, hold on... let me think about it for a second...err...okay - you're right I don't care about her at all. However I do look forward to her return to the franchise in F8st and Fur8s: Part 8.

By the by, what's the deal with The Rock and movies featuring the word "fast" in the title? Do you think when he signed on to this film -- he thought it was a sequel to his upcoming film "Faster"?

Luca's FAX N FOOVLIUS rankings

Tokyo Drift
2 Fast
The fourth one
poop
The first one

Tokyo Drift is the best of the series, stoked that Han is back hopefully in zombie form.
I'm assuming that they're just going to ignore the part where he died, because they all look the same or something.

They're really reaching back if Matt Schulze is going to be in it. Can Lucas Black be too far behind? Maybe he got recruited after the end race in TOKYO DRIFT.
Didn't the last one take place before Tokyo Drift?
F5 probably does too.
Yeah. But, it's going to start getting ridiculous the longer they go on trying to fit stuff between TOKYO DRIFT and the fourth movie.
As long as it's better than the last one, bring it on. That one was so boring, miserable and full of soulless, unexciting CGI car chases. Make it fun please.

Is Cole Hauser coming back too? He was sleazily great...wait, did he die or not at the end of 2Fast? I can't remember what happened now.
In a twist, this movie is set before 2 Fast 2 Furious too.

But seriously, I'm pretty sure he was just arrested. So potentially he could come back.
The worst part is that I'm always getting the plots for 2 Fast 2 Furious and Bad Boys 2 mixed up in my head. It's like, "wait, which one had a rat chewing through a stomach and which one had Dan Marino test driving a car?"

And which one had Dan Marino being kidnapped by a transgender policewoman? So confusing.

Another reason why 2 FAST is king! Hauser's the only decent villain in the series. And he was alive at the end.

Dude, you're disrespecting Rick Yune (and his family).
This inter-quel stuff is so stupid. All of it, just to have Han in two further movies. What is he, Jigsaw? Completely overrated character.

I want many, many more sequels just to see what crazy names they come up with.

Also, I just don't wanna know how Diesel feels about this. Dude wanted to do more work like Find Me Guilty, Strays, Saving Private Ryan. Instead, he's trapped in Fast sequels and can't even get to do new xXx and Riddicks.

I wanted to see his Hannibal movie.
He's got a new Riddick coming out.

I would imagine he could do steady work in smaller stuff if he wanted to. PITCH BLACK was pretty small-scale compared to CHRONICLES.

If he did a "one for them, one for me" thing, that could work. Or kinda do what Whalberg does. He puts in serious work, but also has time to get in an argument about a lion fighting a shark.

At this point, they should just go off the rails with it. Have Fast Five take place after the sixth installment, but concurrently with the seventh. Then we bring back Lucas Black for part 8: Olympus Mons Drift.
