Fuck 'Voltron', give me 'Robotech'.

I definitely will watch...Voltron: The Live Action Adaption, even though I am a much bigger fan of...Ufo Robot Grendizer, and Getter Robo!

Voltron was one of the very few cartoons which got translated into Welsh, which means I've got the theme stuck in my head for life.

That said, this film is just BEGGING for a giant robot to hilariously piss on some respected actor.

Typo in second CHUD bubble, not sure if it's worth fixing.

I used to watch Voltron as a kid, but never enough to have any real stake in it. I'll watch this purely for the special effects at least. If it's entertaining as well, then good good.

I'd rather have the 15 vehicle version of Voltron than the 5 lion version. Regardless, this show is the same thing over and over again: once you get past the initial 5 episodes where they actually get the lions and replace Sven with the Princess, there is no big PLOTLINE to drive the narrative forward. Enemy attacks, form Voltron, defeat it, WASH/RINSE/REPEAT. At least with 'Starblazers' and 'Robotech' you had a big story to tell where each episode had consequences.

Seconded. They could make a trilogy of films on the first third of the series alone.

Wish they hadn't taken design cues from the excessively busy Bayformers. They look like junk heaps with glowing eyes.

No shit Judas. But you really have to remove all that singing crap from Robotech.

And while I liked Voltron when I was a kid, it was poorly remade as Power Rangers.

Tobey, if you're reading this: no Minmei singing 'We Will Win' over the big battle, please.

Doesn't really do much for me. I think you need to have an existing love of VOLTRON to appreciate those images.

This Voltron concept art looks like it was inspired by Bayformers. Not impressed.

Screw all of this I want my live action Starfleet movie. Complete with Brian May Soundtrack!

Yes yes and yes again!

The design for the Voltron is just "meh" honestly I'll say that it's "over designed" No need to be that "busy" I saw the need on why Bay did it for Transformers, but that does not mean it's needed for Voltron.

So how's the movie going to play out? have about 1 hr and 10 min of talking and drama and then fill the last 30min with Voltron being formed up to fight. Cause that's what the cartoon did and it pissed me the hell off. Asking a little kid to wait 15min before Voltron is formed is just mean, really mean.

and Yes for ROBOTECH

The design for Voltron looks like utter shit. Why go the Bay route with the sharp angles and pseudo insectoid appearances? I mean for crissakes, what's up with the arms? It looks like it's the robot version of Young Frankenstein about to sing "Puttin' On The Ritz."

This will be just another fuck up.

Judas Booth, I love all...6 of Minmay's Songs in...Robotech, especially...We Will Win! If they were to drop the songs, I might just...skip the film entirely. I have the...2 disk collector's edition of the soundtrack to Robotech.

I did not love the series...Voltron, But I love the concept art for the film.

In before Voltron fans complain about the film being set on Earth and in America, even.

Hell give me Voltes V, Starblazers and Battle Of The Planets before Voltron while we're at it!

The Rain Dog, Did you ever watch the...Space Battleship Yamato films that...Star Blazers was adapted to? The first...5 films are available on dvd. The...6th played in Japan last Christmas. SBY: Resurrection was also at a film festival outside of Japan, but is not yet available on dvd. I loved...Battle Of The Planets/Gatchaman and Voltes V as well, as Star Blazers/Space Battleship Yamato. I first saw...Voltus V, on the...Christian Broadcast Network. I still do not know why a Christian Broadcast Network would air a...Super Robot Anime Film, but I loved that they did.

Yeah hate the design fix that shit. Transformers should only be the model when it comes to the first film and the whole invasion storyline.

They really should emphasize the space and new galaxies to bring on more villains but who the fuck am I kidding they will make it earth bound which means I would probably want to see Robotech as well.

That being said its all dreaming with fickle Hollywood keeping tighter reigns on the budget.
