I hope so. I mean, Anderson? really? The team has too much talent to waste it on a QB like that.

Looks like Jimmy Clausen is getting the start next week and Brandon Jacobs is asking to be traded.

I guess the Giants' helmets don't have enough heft for him.

My read on the situation is no one expected Warner to retire and management wanted to see what it had in Leinart against Wisenhunt's wishes. After Leinart nearly ended Fitzgerald's year (this after another one of his throws injured Boldin last year), Wisenhunt finally had enough evidence to get the Bidwells to allow him to sit/cut Leinart. Anderson became the starter by default. Which sucks because McNabb would've been a great option, unless the Eagles wanted something stupid for him, like Fitzgerald.

If this season is the disaster I expect it to be, hopefully we can get a franchise QB in the draft and maybe a serviceable journeyman via FA.

Oh McNabb playing for Arizona would be rockin'. Hell, at this point why is Jeff Garcia playing for the CFL?

It's only week two. We might yet see the Garcia's return.

I hope we do, I've always been a fan of his. Plus, have you seen his wife? DAMN

Fun fact, Joe Flacco is the worst rated QB right now.

QB Ratings.

And last week, Vince Young was the highest rated QB. Blech.

I'm happy to see the Jets beating the Pats, since every analysts were predicting that NE are back in their old Superbowl form and would likely be running away with the division crown again. And Jets lost Revis early but still managed by beat Brady & the Pats. Unfortunately, the # of injuries for Jets are piling up, and now Revis has pulled a hammy. I hope Jets will be prepared for battle against the 2-0 'Fins.

Garcia's wife was a former Playboy Playmate. I used to like her alot, until she went and got a pair of ugly implants on her body.

*Just did a Google search* yikes, that's a bit much.

There was some talk on the radio this morning of how Revis immediately started holding his hamstring after Moss beat him for the touchdown, with some saying Revis being hurt was the only reason Moss got open and others saying Revis was trying to justify getting beat by grabbing his leg.

All of the local honks here were in agreement that if Hall wasn't a rookie he would have been the starter out of camp. He consistently outplayed everybody else. Then again, we saw what his first pro throw looked like and he sure didn't look ready.

I'll bet they would have kept Leinart if he hadn't spouted off. I don't think the throw that injured Fitz was the fault of the throw. Leinart just doesn't look downfield, and for a team that is hoping to push the run you need the QB looking at the deep routes and not the 5 yard safety valves. He'd have been in that game yesterday though, the way Anderson was playing, if he'd just kept his mouth shut.

Revis said he may be out one to two weeks. If he really faked the whole thing just to preserve his reputation, I hope the Jets would kick this player to the curb for doing this to his team.

Nice call there. I don't know what that back judge saw but there is no way in hell that ball was touched.
This game is reminding me of the epic NO/SF games from the late 80s/early 90s. Those games were all about the defenses even though the offensive guys got the headlines. Well, at least they did on the SF side.
I wonder if AZ has any interest in Pennington. They'd have to pay a steep price for him, but what are their other options?

Jeff Garcia is a better option.

That roughing the passing call was pretty lame.
The 49ers are pretty much pissing the game away.
Oh shit. Reggie's hurt.

Damn. Just damn. We ain't gonna be as pretty as last year, but ugly works as long as we get the win.
I've never been this drained after an early season game. I wanted the Niners to pull this one out so badly for Singletary's relentless approach to coaching, for Alex Smith's perseverance, for the team playing a game where the bounce never seems to go their way. To have the defender get his hand on the ball and yet the FG still goes through is a perfect microcosm of the game for San Francisco. I just hope that they can take positives out of this. But, as Alex Smith has been at this for awhile, I wonder if this'll have more of a negative impact on him despite how well he played on that final drive.
That was also typical Mora-esque prevent defense from the 80s/90s there as well on display. Difference is, Saints offense can go right down the field now and get that winning FG. Colston is a beast. They really need to throw him the ball more.
I was more impressed with the 49'ers in this game.
7/9 in this weeks picks...almost .500!
The Niner's were impressive, but like last year they kill themselves with turnovers. If they don't move that the other way, they are going to be the most talented losing team in the NFL.

I think Brees was off. Maybe something is wrong, but he doesn't seem to have his groove going this year.
Madden curse!
I was impressed with the 9ers. They played with passion and played some good football.

The Saints did what good teams do...found a way to win. Its cliche but true.

The last thing I'm worried about is the Saints Offense, they will get it together. Played two pretty good Defenses, and the wind in SF sucks for a passing attack like ours. They are a bit off but they will get it together.

I am a little concerned with the Run D though.

Looks like Vick is going to be the starting QB next weekend.
Oh and another Texan was just suspended for using performance enhancing drugs. Must be something in the water.
I don't understand Eagles' decision to make Vick the permanent starting QB over Kolb. When they traded McNabb, weren't they intended to make Kolb their new starting QB? Why is it that they changed their mind so quickly after only two games, and Kolb only played 2 Quarters vs Green Bay due to concussion? And what happens if Vick has a couple of bad games? Will they switch out Vick and put in Kolb?

Man, the week takes a long time during fooball.

Bucs' safety Tanard Jackson has been suspended for a year due to another violation of the league substance abuse policy. I guess missing four games last year didn't teach this bonehead his lesson.
Charlie Batch starting this weekend. Now we can start running up the scores! Hopefully our monster defense continues to hold and we can field-goal Tampa to death.

Damn. Was really thinking that the Bucs had a chance this weekend at 3-0, but this certainly doesn't help. Monday nighter is either going to be an interesting game, or a complete disaster - nothing in between.

Also on a completely different note, I've found myself quite enamored with the girl from the Red Zone commercials...

Holy crap, is the Steelers/Bucs on MNF? Yikes. I'm a Steelers fan and even I'm thinking that's not exactly a marquee matchup.

"This week on Monday Night Football! The Steelers and...Charlie Batch take on the Bucs and Josh...which one is it? Freeman? Well, um, are you ready for some football!?"
? Monday nighter is Green Bay vs. Chicago.

Ok. I just saw Steelers/Bucs talk and in the same breath there was mention of a possibly lacking MNF matchup. Looks like I'll have FFL interest in the Monday night game, then.

I hope he does that in film sessions.

QB Coach: Hey Tom, I noticed your mechanics are off here, which is why you threw the interception that lead to Randy Moss being decapitated.

Tom Brady: Hmmm...food for thought. Tell ya what, I'll mull it over while I'm fucking Gisele! Amirite!?!
It probably makes up for anything. Impossibly lose the Superbowl after an undefeated season? Oh well, time to go fuck Gisele!

btw now I can't get the image of Bellichick, arms folded, gruffly criticizing Brady's sex technique out of my head.
Speaking of Bellichick gruffly criticizing Brady's sex technique. Here are my picks for the 3rd week of the National Football League!

Tennessee @ N.Y. Giants: After their beating in Indianapolis, the G-Men get to try their luck against another AFC South opponent.

Pittsburgh @ Tampa Bay: No one thought that the Steelers would be 2-0 at this point! Well, the same goes for Tampa.

Cincinnati @ Carolina: The new whipping boy of the NFL? Carolina.

Cleveland @ Baltimore:Will this be the week the high powered Ravens offense shows up?

Dallas @ Houston: If Dallas drops another game, Jerry Jones head will explode.

San Francisco @ Kansas City: The 49'ers gave that game away to the Saints. They should get their first win this week.

Detroit @ Minnesota: You know what would be great? If the Lions won.

Buffalo @ New England: GOD the Bills are awful, I mean shit the bed awful. The only reason I'm still alive in the CHUD survivor league is that I always pick the team that is playing the Bills.

Atlanta @ New Orleans: I'm not 100% sold on the Saints but damn, they are winning these games.

Washington @ St. Louis: Well, it'll be nice if the Rams won this one...but they wont. The Redskins have to be all pissed to hell after last weeks game.

Philadelphia @ Jacksonville: Vick is the new "Top Dog" for the Eagles. And it'll last until he breaks a leg or something. Can't feel that bad for Kolb. He had himself a 10 million pay day.

Oakland @ Arizona: Who's watching this game? anyone..anyone?

San Diego @ Seattle: I hope we see cry baby Rivers this week.

Indianapolis @ Denver: I the Colts get the jump on the Broncos like they did on the Giants. Orton is going to have one hell of a day.

N.Y. Jets @ Miami: The fuck'n god damned wild cat all over those mother fuck'n Jets. I swear that's a Rex Ryan quote.

Green Bay @ Chicago
: Now this is a Monday night game! The winner of this game can very well just run with that division.
