2010 NFL Season - Page 4

I'm pretty sure Detroit should just take a knee for the rest of the game and let Favre score the rest of their points.
Minny should have drafted Claussen or some other QB. Brett had one more in him at best and it looks like that was generous.
Someone just put a pinky on the top of Favre's helmet and they had a personal foul called which took a way a sack/fumble from the Lions.
Charlie Batch? Steelers are going to be tough to beat when Big Ben comes back.

Patriots are killing me. Got them in a suicide pool and was hoping for an easy week.
We're making Charlie Batch look like Terry Bradshaw. Although two of those Steeler touchdowns should have been interceptions.

NE will win. I have them in a suicide pool too, not worried though since the two other teams also picked em.

I have 3 total picks every week and there are 600 "people" left out of 1100.

Moss for 6-nice. Also have Balt and Cincy needing a win.

How good are the Chiefs?
Come on Texans, time for another miracle 4th-quarter comeback.

Oh how I love NFL Red Zone.
NFL Red Zone is incredible. One thing I love about are the quips dished out by the studio guy when a commercial or timeout sneaks onto the telecast. There were at least two earlier today that were laugh out loud funny.

I know of one of which you mean but can't remember. Think it was shampoo or something close.

While I would love to have all the games in full, Red Zone flips like I do so it really doesn't matter. Direct TV shouldn't have the monopoly as a dish is useless in a city with weather,

Saints are missing Carney. I think they look for a FG kicker.
Saints have got to get over this Superbowl Hangover. Got to get back in their groove.
C'mon now, give it up for the Falcons. Sweet.

While the offense certainly has not been firing on all cylinders, that's not something any team would be able to sustain constantly, Super Bowl or not. They've had a fairly challenging opening schedule and have come out 2-1. They'll be fine if they stay healthy and remain opportunistic on defense.

It is awesome. When they first started it a year or so ago, I quit watching games and just turned it to that.

Predictions for the Steelers pre-Ben was basically 'go 2-2 if you can'. 3-0 looks pretty good. If Roethlisberger can step in and get in game shape pretty quickly, the Steelers might be OK this year.

Oh, and yeah, congrats to the Falcons. I thought they were going to lose another close one to the Saints.

The CBS commentators openly mocking the redundant ref in the San Diego/Seattle game is pretty funny.

Man, where is everybody? Comments are nonexistent.

Fuckin Cards are leaving me speechless.

Words can't describe how happy I am with the Chiefs right now. Finally, FINALLY feels fun to be a fan again.

They truly looked great today. Still lots of room for improvement, but damn, they've got some great talent on that team and it really feels like the coaching/office personnel changes are finally paying off in a tangible way.
Rivers almost made a crazy td. Does anyway again. Boooo.
And the Seattle Leon Washingtons take the lead right back.

I know. I mean, who woulda thought the Chiefs would be un...defeated? "Undefeated", is that how you use it? I dunno, it just looks so ODD having that word so close to the Chiefs...
They could do my fantasy team a favor and get the ball to Charles a little more.
What an interception! That Seahawk did a barrel roll!

It's fun to watch.... :-)

Kansas City is looking damn good as for Vick and the Eagles.. Wow. WTF Happened to the Jags in the off season?

The hatred I have for the Chargers knows no bounds. Take New England for example, I dislike that team but respect them, same for the Steelers. Chargers? No respect at all and it starts with their QB.
I graduated from NC State, Rivers' alma mater, and I've always found it odd how people handle him around those parts. His jersey is retired, and there's a display for him outside of the football stadium, along with a few other notable players, but he's never spoken of. You'd think that a school would brag about having a big-time NFL QB come from their school, but it wasn't until I spotted his picture outside of the stadium one day that I even realized he had played for us. Must have left a bad taste in someone's mouth, because people there speak very highly of Mario Williams, both as a player and a person.

Do we really know anything about them yet though? The Chiefs opponents are a combined 1-8 so far. San Diego is their only opponent who has won anything. Don't get me wrong, I'd love to see them turn things around this year. They're one of those teams that most people would have a hard time hating. I'm a little worried that this is way more scheduling than the Chiefs themselves though.

I think the Saints are in a little bit worse shape than people think. I had a feeling the Falcons might go in and win, just because the Saints haven't really been putting people away like they did last year. That entire division looks like it could get real interesting. I don't think the Buccaneers will hang around for that long, but I wouldn't be at all surprised to see the Falcons and Saints duke it out all year.

The Steelers...yeesh. They really might put something amazing together if Ben gets going quickly and if Troy actually stays healthy for a season. Each of the teams they've beaten this season is 2-1, their only losses being when they played the Steelers. I don't think they'll beat Baltimore next week, but I also don't think they'll lose by much. That defense is way too proud to let Baltimore do a number on them.

Baltiwhore will win, but the fact is we'll be 3-1 without our franchise QB, a feat no one thought we could accomplish. We're going to be outright dangerous when we get him.

You could be totally right. I'm not getting overly optimistic at this point. But I feel fairly confident about a Wildcard berth which after the last few years, is a big step.

And a lot of their wins so far could be the other teams and scheduling. But... today especially they proved that they have some real talent this year and that they're all congealing as a whole quite well.

I think they could give any team a good run for their money right now, but they're definitely going to have a hard time against some of the top teams.
As a Colts fan I'm scared to hell of KC's running game. But it'll be a good game.

At least the Dolphins are putting up a fight.
Good Game, but it was sad to see...Miami Lose At Home! Still...2-1, is solid!
Do the Saints have any kind of running game? I always thought Bush was an overrated NFL back, but they surely missed him against Atlanta.

Kansas City nabbed some great draft picks, and they're paying off in a big way with McCluster and Arenas. People didn't think that McCluster would be successful at the next level;I'm glad he's provin' them wrong. Fun as hell to watch.

One of the keys is that when you take a look at the Chiefs schedule they really don't play too many teams that have real great records. I mean yes they have Houston and Indy their next two games. After that the next hardest games are in week 14 (San Diego) and week 16 (Tenessee). As someone taked about before if they are the "bad team that can whomp on other bad teams" then they should have a wildcard if not outright the division.

I know. Gus Johnson seemed completely clueless to the fact that Batch got really lucky on both of those longballs to Mike Wallace. Though, to be fair, of all the Steeler QBs who've thrown to Mike Wallace-- Roethlisberger, Dennis Dixon, ChasBatch and Byron Leftwich-- only Leftwich doesn't consistently underthrow Wallace on the deep balls. The guy's so fast he creates a lot of underthrows from average-strength QBs.

Bad teams don't make plays like they did on offense though. Not saying they're great or anything, but bad teams just kind of flounder around rather than scoring 31 points.
It's funny listening to all these Bucs fans who are saying we got "exposed" yesterday. Only the most optimistic rose-colored-glasses wearing fan thought we were as good as 2-0 indicated. We weren't as good as 2-0, nor are we as bad as 38-13.
Well, are the Bucs "better" than last years team?
The Jags are as bad as the 28-3 pasting the Vickadelphia Eagles gave them yesterday. Gene Smith will survive the purge, but Jack Del Rio and David Garrard are dead men walking.
The Jags always seem to play the Colts tough, so I see that as a good game at least.

I've always wondered how Jack Del Rio has lasted so long.
Jets beat another division rival, and Sanchez has another 3 TD performance without turnovers. I hope they won't be complacent like the Pats were against the Bills this week, though.

I'm not sure the Pats were complacent. They have no defense.

Very excited for the MNF game. I think the Bears have a chance to win but don't expect them to. I just want them to show up and not embaress themselves.

If the Bears win they can be 6-1 by their bye week. If they had an Oline I could see them making the NFC Championship games. I'm hoping for WC now.

I think they are. Freeman is already making better decisions and looking more confident. The team added more talent in this last draft than Gruden managed to add in all his drafts combined. They're going in the right direction. It's just not going to be an overnight fix.

Looks like I can go back to being a depressed Redskins fan again. But that was an exciting two weeks!

At least MNF should be fun. Hopefully its a shootout of epic proportions.

I'm already looking forward to the 'Skins-Eagles game this week. McNabb vs Vick! It's going to be epic.

Why, cause the Rams beat them? I don't know man, Bradford seems to be the real deal. I don't think it's indicative of anything necessarily.
