Haha, I loved that movie.

But your point about growing up with her relates to how I see Natalie Portman too, because I'm an old enough SOB that I saw The Professional in cinemas, and then had seen it 20 times on VHS before I ever saw her play an adult role. Even though she's very obviously a woman, and a gorgeous one at that, I still see Matilda because that movie was burnt into my brain before she had a chance to portray herself as an adult.

It's almost like how I see some of my good mates' little sisters. They're some great looking grown up lasses now, but all I see is my buddy's little sis.

I was absolutely in love with Naomi Watts in Tank Girl. I remembered her name in case she ever did anything again. I was disappointed when she resurfaced as a skinny blonde.

She's still hot, mind you. I just preferred the brunette version.

This is pretty much where I'm coming from as well. I was well into my late 20s when I saw THE PROFESSIONAL, and that was my intro to her.

I do think she has a really elegant beauty to her face, but it's almost like a painting or marble carving: something that elicits appreciation but not arousal.
