"AN AMERICAN WEREWOLF IN LONDON" (1981):

1- One of the GREATEST HORROR MOVIES OF ALL TIME, no way.
2- The Best HORROR/Comedy ever (EVIL DEAD 2 seems to me the second one)
3- ONE of the TEN GREATEST MOVIES OF ALL the TIMES, no doubt.
4- DAVID KESSLER: One of the greatest characters ever seen on the screen
5- Cult fave

...and i seriously think it also was a great romance/love story.

Few days ago i was surfing in the net in search of informations on it, and i found two or three negative reviews among TONS and TONS of positive/excellent reviews about this GEM.
Incredible !!!!!! (IMD rating...ONLY 7,o !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

Let me know, people...HOW MUCH is AAWIL popular in America ? Is it STILL considered as a big CLASSIC ? What is its "reputation" and fame with the general public (and not the hardcore horror fans)? Is it STILL appealing and fashionable for the the massess ?

There will be a SPECIAL EDITION DVD and a theatrical re-release.
