Chuck - Season 4 - Page 5

Happy to see them finally going the freelance route, but not sure how long it will last.  Was hoping they were going that direction at the end of last season when Chuck found his dad's hideout, and we all know how that turned out.  Same goes for Morgan as the intersect.  They only have 13 episodes, but I'll be pleasantly surprised if both changes stick.

My only concern, based on Decker's comments at the end of the ep, is that they're setting up Orion/Bakula to be A. alive, and B. the uber big bad who's been behind everything ever.

ScottieFerguson, Well for one thing, there was never an episode where the...Dean of Stanford University that expelled Chuck, appeared, so he/she could have been a plant or the...EEEEEEEEEvil Manipulator of the Bartowski Family!

We saw Chuck's dad die on-screen, so unless he Leaped out at the last second, he's not coming back...

Except the show already has a precedent of bringing characters back from the dead in Shaw and Bryce Larkin.  Not to mention the fact that papa Bartowski was shot just a few feet from Shaw's magic resurrection machine, which has fueled speculation for a while now that he'd be back at some point.  Perhaps I'm reading too much into Decker's response/laugh when Chuck mentioned his father's death.   I'd rather he stay dead, but it wouldn't be the first time the show pulled something like that.

Yeah it wouldn't surprise me to see Papa Bartowski return. Just not as the big bad.
