I love it!

This and Boardwalk Empire on HBO... making it hard to stick to rabbit ears in 2010.

I much prefer this image to the Struzan film. I know that the show can never hope to match the production values on display in that poster (at least not in more than a handful of digi-matte painted shots), but all the same that's the kind of image that could get you seriously excited for the show

He's also going to kick the ass of a lot of decrepit, rotting people.

How is it not reminiscent of Hot Fuzz?

Also, please let this be the start of a giant channel dick-measuring contest between AMC and HBO with how far they can push the long-form format. I can't see anything but sunshine and rainbows coming out of a rivalry like that.
