The leads were likable enough, but we've seen this formula too many times before. I'm not a fan of one and their done procedurals anyhow, but the J.J. curiosity got the better of me.

Wasn't blown away by the premiere, but it was a solid effort. There seems to be a larger plot lurking behind the case-of-the-week set-up so hopefully it'll get more interesting as the details emerge.

I'm already watching Chuck and I think one spy series is good enough for me. The two leads don't look as interesting as the chemistry shared by Levi and Strahovski in Chuck, either.

Actually, I rather liked the chemistry of the leads. Made this thing work even though there wasn't much else new here. And the power-spy couple thing is a refreshing change of pace from the bottomless well of will-they, won't-they on Chuck. Still, this show feels very weightless.

One other thing: I kinda love how this show stars 2 black leads and it doesn't feel at all like they're trying to satisfy some target demographic.

Anybody still watching this?

It's lighthearted, but the cast has good chemistry and it's a lighthearted spy romp with some nice action. It's stayed pretty solid so far.

I don't know exactly where they're filming everything, but I like that it's pretty globe-trotting and they're trying to vary the environments.

I've seen every ep but last night's (which I have on the DVR), and I still haven't ever really been excited about any episode of the show.

I guess I just expect MORE from Abrams. Years of watching and loving ALIAS and LOST have left me expecting some aspect that will tie it all together-- make me HAVE to see the next episode. There's no such thing here.

It's fun enough, but if it disappeared tomorrow, I wouldn't miss it a bit.

It's really bland narrative-wise, but it serves it's purpose as popcorn entertainment. I like the two leads a lot, and the fact that they can legitimately speak multiple languages fluently is refreshing. I also appreciate that half their episodes, which take place in a cornucopia of foreign countries, have the balls to leave the majority of the running time in another language. It's unique on a primetime network show. Unfortunately, that's as far as the uniqueness goes.

Cancelled!

Looks like JJ Abrams first television failure. I guess the two most attractive people on TV will have to find somewhere else to ply their trade. Seriously, those two are freakin' beautiful.

Funny that much of the reasoning being given for its cancellation is that there was little mythology for the audience to be drawn in to, despite networks typically tending to shy away from heavy mythology for fear of losing "casual" viewers; and this show seemed to be constructed particularly to appeal to fans of one-offs. That being said, while I enjoyed the show it just didn't draw me in. During the past few eps, I couldn't help wondering what else was on. A pity, wasn't a bad show, but didn't stand out.

I think a little mythology can help push a show and give it forward momentum. But, like all things, you still have to do it well.

See, THE EVENT.
