I had a feeling it was 56, should've just searched I guess. Curse my laziness.

I actually caught this last Saturday night on one of our locals. Did they break date? Also - the format was fuuuuuucked. They got to the cemetary, got out of the car, it cut to commercial and it came back with them in the house. WUT.

Ohhh nooo! These are super chopped movies for "time constraints"?!

I mean, with Night of the Living Dead, I guess I can give it a pass, because I have and will continue to see the full version a gajillion times, but I hope this isn't the case for the show going forward.

Eh, the horror host shtick isn't a preservationist's format. I'ma get fucked up and watch these.

Yeah - weird ass cuts aside, Elvira's shit was campy, corny and great.

Of course I'll tune in. Still, I am not used to Elvira shortchanging the presentation, at least not to the point where it doesn't even make narrative sense in the film, cutting out a ten minute block*.

All this talk makes me want to throw on some of the old Thriller Videos too!

* It could just be one weird cut, or JG was distracted by hooker sex while the show played in the background, or both, or neither. Either way(s), I'm stoked for any and all Elvira, in any form or fashion.

Sounds great. Problem I'm having though is that it's not showing up on either my cable dvr or PIX's site. At least not for this weekend. Both have been wrong often enough though, so there's that.

PIX even had this Chiller Theatre Returns to PIX mentioning her hosting a show on Halloween, but that's it.

I noticed the New York station listing up there (like some others) has a little .2 added after the call letters. Is this a sub channel of PIX or one only sent via satellite tv?

Color me surprised when I saw that 2 of the closest towns (One is 2 towns over to the East of me, the other is 2 towns over to the West of me) that are near me showed up on this list. Didn't think they would show up, and it's cool that it's regular tv and not on a cable station. I have to work the next day, so I'll be setting the vcr recorder. Yes, I still use one of those. Haven't jumped onto the DVR bandwagon yet.

Well that certainly put a smile on my face. And, yeah, I'd think a good majority of those tuning into this are doing so for the nostalgic thrill of watching a horror host introducing horror films and not actually the films, themselves.

As a long time lover and worshipper of the horror show host, it's so frikkin' awesome to have this back. And even better that we're getting it this Sunday in our area.

I can handle it fine if the films are shortened. Worked just fine for MST3K. It's not about the film, but the fun of the presentation.

So excited about this.

It must be something like that because the show isn't being broadcast--according to TVGuide--on regular PIX at the scheduled times. Nor is it being broadcast on regular PHL (a Philly station I pick up) and that has the .2 designation, as well.

Probably both - though, knowing which station it ran on, there's every chance the person helming the control room that night borked it all to Hell. I wasn't able to stick around and watch the whole thing - I would have giggled my ass off had the "They're coming to get you Barbara!" popped back in at some point in the last few segments.

Well, this came and went and I couldn't catch it. The station it was broadcast on here is one of those "over the air" stations. So, if you have basic cable or digital cable, you aren't getting it, at least not where I am at. I can't imagine many people will be able to see this show.

Feels weird that I was penalized for not having my rabbit ears hooked up, but there you go.

Yeah, same here. What a bust!
