Touching up thematic, rather than performance aspects seems consistent with that story you guys ran a couple months back about Disney digging into the brain-trust at Pixar for advice. Lord knows no one is better at setting up characters/plot in the opening 20 mins.

Not a big Tron guy, but aren't these little damage control statements always taken as shades of truth cast over a mountain of bullshit?

Garret Hedlund has been pretty good in all the stuff I've seen him in. He practically disappeared into Billy Darley in Death Sentence. He was also strong in Troy, copping a pretty decent British accent for being from Minnesota.

But really, it's Death Sentence that kinda makes him a guy to watch. He has a willingness to get into roles and NOT be that vacant pretty boy so many of his forebears were for so much of their early careers.

I'm sure any problems with the character aren't due to his performance but I guess we'll see.

Weird, it was Hedlundt's performance in the first Trailer that made me think this could be an actual movie not an extended video game promo. It's like Hollywood now has it's own set of "Short Sellers" who try to ruin a film's reputation before it even comes out.

Still hoping for the best.

What I'd really like to know is a bit more non-spoilerish plot details. We know dad is in the digital world, but is he there against his own will, what are the stakes? We really don't know much about the story, so would be nice to hear a bit more about that.
