Watched the Flav roast a while back with a mate. When Giraldo dropped this gem -

Well, he wrote and directed it, then had it taken away by the studio and re-cut/re-written for a YEAR before being dumped (and still earning its budget back in the first weekend). That the movie was still great after butchering is even more of a testament to his genius.

That aside, Marc Maron's short Giraldo eulogy/tribute episode of the WTF Podcast was hard to listen to.
