I was in Target Sunday night cruising the movie aisle (like you do) when I came upon these sets. I thought I'd give y'all the heads up since some of these are really quite striking. For $10 I picked up a 4 disc set of the Fox Noir discs of Black Widow, Call Northside 777, Deadly Passage and (this was the clincher) Otto Premnger's Laura. Each disc is identical to the Fox Noir Special edition with all the extra stuff (Laura is the standout here with Biography episodes for Gene Tierney and-holy fucking GOD- Vincent Price along with commentaries and trailers). I also picked up what I can only assume is ome kind of "camp" set (also $10) which had All About Eve, Beyond the Valley of the Dolls, Inn of the 6th Happiness and Valley of the Dolls. The only draw back here is Valley and Beyond the Valley (though Beyond does include the Ebert commentary and is the NC-17 cut of the film) do not include their respective second discs of extra. But the price is right and if you want to beef up your old school film library I highly reccommend these sets. Watched Valley of the Dolls (Never seen that one before- pretty goddamn hilarious) and Laura last night. Such joy!
ETA: This belongs in the Bargains thread. Shit.
