Man's Best Friend: 1000lb. Crocodile?

ESPECIALLY not with fucking tourists around who might spook the thing. Cute story though. I'm a sucker for these "animal befriends unlikely human" things.

You know, I've always doubted the whole humans/reptile bond thing. I've met people who assure me that they've had excellent experiences with a pet snake or iguana, but I still don't understand how that can be. I've always thought that a true bond can only happen between two animals that have the pack or mothering instinct.

For example, dogs make good pets because years of evolution gave them the psychological need to belong to a group in order to survive, the same thing could be said about humans. Humans like getting pets because it satisfies our need to be apart of a family/tribal unit.

Cats, on the other hand, make good pets because the need to mother/be mothered never really goes away, so as long as that need is met they are content to stay with you.

Most Reptiles and insects do not have these instincts which makes me wonder how the human bond can form.

I don't know how he could be lucky for 20 years though, he must keep him super well-fed.

I saw a story the other week that a woman had killed this massive crocodile and they were celebrating it. I hope this crocodile finds her and eats her.

Some rednecks just killed a 13-footer in one of the rivers here. I guess no one had the good sense to see if it was up for some playtime or something.
