It's the first console I've been excited about since the Dreamcast but 300$?

Ah, the Dreamcast. I wish I could play Sega Bass Fishing right now.

Yeah, $300 (which will be, going by past pricing, roughly £arm&leg) is too steep for something which is only an awesome gimmick away from the DS I barely ever play anyway.

Though I'll be first in line for the demo kiosks when it comes out. "Fuck you small child, it's still my turn on Kid Icarus 3D!"

Pricey, but given the technology involved, probably justified. And you know damn well Nintendo's not fucking up a handheld.

Still.....that's 2 Wiis/a 4GB 360 + 2 games/a PS3 Slim right there.

pricey, but as someone who likes to wait out systems rather then buy them right off the bat, i'm sure this will be a great purchase when the price drops.

some of those games though....makes me wish i hadn't burned out my old one. (killed the R and L buttons and had to rip off the plastic just to finish a Mario RPG game that was consuming my life)

For what it's worth, it's a lot more likely to be around $250 in the U.S., if that makes any difference. The yen is just super-duper strong right now.

I still have, and play, my first-gen DS (thing is a beast, I've dropped/knocked it off a table like 20 times) and I am still considering getting one of these. The thing that worries me the most (the 3D implementation) apparently worked very well at E3...

I'm not much of a gamer, but I love my DS. This has got me seriously intrigued.

It's been years since I've owned a handheld but damn I'm excited for this. I just need to see this thing in person. No way does Nintendo screw up a hand held.

Yes, I was one of the people that questioned the success of the DS. Glad I was wrong.

It's been years since I've owned a video game system of any kind at all (Genesis was the last one I owned!) but if the pricing is right and the games are awesome (no more dumbass Lisa Kudrow cooking games), then I may come out of retirement.

I'll probably hold out for price drops, but I'll ashamedly admit that I am pretty psyched about a new Animal Crossing game.

Yeah. 3D Street Fighter, Resident Evil, Metal Gear, etc.. and I'm getting jazzed about Animal Crossing.
