Anyone else heading up to the AMC Mansell 14 to see it with the other CHUDfolk in town?

I hope the fuck so!

Damn. Wanted to go, but my son had a football scrimmage tonight.

Don't worry, the audio on our print had somewhere else to be as well.

That sucks. Worked fine for us.

Is there anything different from this "Directors Cut" and "The Version You've Never Seen"?

That's shitty. Our theater was fine but about two minutes in our film the screen stopped and went black. Someone had to run out and restart it, and it was okay for the rest. Overall it was a fun time.

I noticed a longer prologue in Iraq. I also noticed that there were less demon-face flashes. I could have sworn there was on the door or the wall in Regan's room when her mom walks in. OF course I might be remembering it wrong.

I also didn't see any Fathom intro or anything CHUD at all. It was weird to see a movie start instantly in a theater. I was expecting 20 minutes of trailers and ads. Was that how it was for everyone else?

Pretty sure you're right about that, I didn't notice it either. Aside from that I didn't really notice anything that was glaringly different.

I saw the CHUD intro, it was pretty great to see on the big screen, though I'm still not sure the line "Strong Opinions" followed by a screen-cap of the article "Piranha 3D 2...Why Not?" was the best choice. Unless it was an intentional tongue-in-cheek joke.

Saw it here in Louisiana with two friends who had never seen it before. They ran the behind the scenes stuff before the movie, so a lot of the movie got spoiled for them. I also missed the Chud commercial. It never showed up. They had problems with the satellite feed though, so that might have something to do with it. Great experience, great times. Wish I could have been in Georgia with the other Chewers. One day. One day.

Had a good time. Audio was there but was next to silent. Anytime I chewed popcorn, I couldn't hear a damn word.

Apparently couldn't be tinkered with or something dumb. Sped all the way from the airport and just barely missed the intro I suppose.

Loved it. Always wanted to see this on the big screen and finally got my chance, so again, thank you Nick.

Saw the CHUD commercial and thought it was awesomely class. Granted, I was the only one in the theater who applauded like a wild seal, but whatever.

As for the film, still the best horror film ever made, regardless of people's claims that part two is better. My audio seemed fine, but I was more annoyed at the assholes who busted out their phones.

Wow, it's weird everyone had a different theater experience with it. The one here in Dallas couldn't have gone off better. Except there were only about 15 people in the theater for the 10:30PM screening.

I went to the restroom about 3 minutes before showtime, so I might have missed the CHUD commercial, which pisses me off, and as I was coming back in the theater, the Fathom commercial was just ending. Don't know if they were the same or separate.

The movie started immediately, and man I literally let out an "Oh my god" when the long shot of the dig team was on screen. The transfer for this movie was absolutely gorgeous. My friend leaned over and said "Are we sure this isn't just a shot-for-shot remake?", it was that impressive. The audio was completely booming too.

The behind-the-scenes footage was showed after the credits for my show. They were decent, a couple of tidbits I wasn't aware of.

Overall, a great movie experience. Happy to be a part of it.

Any way we could move this thread to Focused Film or Films in Release? Seems pigeon-holed here in the Location section.
