Terrible call on that check swing...he definitely came around with the bat. Honestly....the Rays may not win one game in this series.
And that'll help sell tickets when they gut payroll next year.

How ya like that back-to-back Cy Young action in ya grill Atlanta? Hey look at the bright side, you didn't get no-hit. Tee-hee-hee-hee-hee-hee...

Rest up buttercups, you gotsa date with Big Daddy Cain tomorrow.

Mr. Moltisanti? Who wants to hear from a Mr. Moltisanti? I am the ultimate national league trash-talking message board member! I am the Bat Dad! (flexing pectorals) Bat Dad knows no fear! Bat Dad knows no pain! I want you, Molti, I want you!

Really questionable call there on Posey's steal of second base. Once again it looks like terrible umpiring is going to be a big thing this post season.
I am all for replay being implemented, but calls like that have been a regular part of the game forever. It's hardly terrible umpiring.
To clarify: The problem is not the umpiring, the problem is not having replay. Calling it bad umpiring belies the real problem, which is that if you have the capacity to eliminate human error through technology, you should. You can't make umpires perfect.

Hey Molt, give me a high-five. Giants are gonna take this mother, and then Aubry Huff is going to lift the restraining order he has on me and let me his own personal Stevie Jenowski.
You can clean Huff's red rally thong!

Reds self destructed in the 7th. The guy was out at 2nd though.
First, as an offense, you get no hits in game 1; then, as a defense, you cost your pitching staff five unearned runs in a few innings in game 2. I wouldn't be surprised if the Reds pitchers just say fuck it and go on vacation early.

Splash!

Now why don't YOU rest up buttercup, and get ready for Sunday.
I'm just glad we have a series that's worth watching. Neither of them should be in a rush to play Philadelphia anyway.

I'll come to you're house at night and slit your throat.

I ain't gonna lie. That was a bitter pill. Had to huff a lot of Lemon Pledge to get my mind off that one. The Giants' bullpen has been locking it down all September but they coughed it up last night like so much loogie.

But ya know what? Sweeps are overrated. Let's make this a cockfight. Why the fig not?

Giants are gonna head down to Atlanta, they're gonna jam your faces into a pillow, and they're gonna stick it in ya you buncha cousinhumpers.

You are awesome.
Had no idea the playoffs had this hilarious effect on Moltisanti. I'm hoping the Giants go the distance so he keeps it up.

Great to see the Rangers didn't get cold feet starting their first October series in eleven years. I'm worried about tonight's game though - Colby Lewis has done very well this year, but his record doesn't show that, unfortunately because he couldn't pay the hitters for run support. I hope that trend doesn't continue.

Oh I'm definitely ready. Go Braves!
Wow... Brooks Buckner.
Well tickle my sack and call me Rhonda, that was a dandy ol' time at the ballyard!

I don't know, Atlanta. Might wanna make a change at second base there. Maybe you could slap a glove on a block of Gouda cheese or something.
Molt, Vasquez...congratulations. Brooks Fuckrad and Bobby Cox gave you the series.

Everybody realizes that Conrad is a pinch hitter who has been trotted out to play the field for the past month? And that the Braves literally have no option to replace him? He surely sucks but what about the rest of our anemic offense? Do they get a pass just because Conrad can't make Little League level fielding plays?
I don't know Brooks Conrad from a hole in the wall, actually. Just making the comment because the ball went through the wickets to cost them a postseason game... like Buckner.

No, the rest of the team got a pass as well. A pass to the land of defeat!

I'm sorry, it's the first time since I've lived in SF that the Giants have done this well. I was raised watching the Lakers, I don't do humility in victory.

Maybe it's the Diet Dr. Pepper talkin' but I would totally spread for Cody Ross right now.

Bobby Cox, you old son of a sharecropper, you had a helluva run. I wish you a long and fruitful retirement. See you at the crossroads.
Congratulations, Moltisanti. Hope your team has fun getting fucking destroyed by the Phillies.

All us Braves fans are going to go cry in the corner.

EPIC DESTRUCTION
The Phillies are badass, no doubt about it. But you gotta be in it to win it. It's like I always say, if you wanna drink from the chalice then you gotta slay the Tikbalang.

You and me both brotha: re: the spreading for Ross.

And yeah, hats off to Cox. I've loved the Braves since I was a wee lad pitching left in little league, and I met Gregg Maddox. Man was all class. If it wasn't us going to National Championship, I wouldn't have had it anyone other than the Braves.
Molt, Vasquez, congrats. Good luck against the Phils.

Bring it Moltz

To be the man (in the NL), you got to beat the man!
So long, Rays. Can't wait for that team to go back to its losing ways.

In other news, now that Cliff Lee can't pitch until game 3 (and game 7, if necessary), I hope the Yankees continue to enjoy their bye to the World Series. H2O, you're our only hope.
Don't be so defeatist. Lee pitching game 3 in NY and Burnett pitching game 4 for NY puts all of the first four games in play for Texas. If they can split those games then they've got a very good shot at a home game 7 with Cliff Lee on the mound.
Cliff Lee again shows why he's one of the best pitchers in the game.
Pure joy.

I was against the Cliff Lee deal when it happened. Trading a high-ceiling first baseman like Justin Smoak and a Cliff Lee-type strike thrower in Blake Beavan to a division opponent was not worth 15+ games of Cliff Lee, when he's going to jet for another team in the offseason. Smoak hitting three home runs in three games against the Rangers in their last series only reiterated my feelings.

But he's won me over like he's won these two games. His absolutely unwavering attitude is highly impressive.

I'm kind of sick with those who act like Cliff is the only pitcher the Rangers have though. C.J. Wilson, Colby Lewis and Tommy Hunter are all really good pitchers. They're the majority of the reason the Rangers even got to the playoffs. Cliff is there to sky-rocket them.

It's much easier to get to the playoffs when you play in the AL West. Sorry, but against NY's insane lineup, I have zero faith in any of the above named pitchers. Believe me, I'm rooting like hell for the Rangers, and it's incredible how they came back to Tampa to beat the Rays. I just don't see them beating the MFY. NY got a bye in the first round against the worthless Twins, and have been sitting back watching the Rangers mess up their rotation. Everything is working out perfectly for the Yankees this postseason...as if they need it. Gag.

In other news, home teams are 4-11 thus far. Crazy.

The AL losing World Series home field advantage was all according to plan!! Mwa ha! Mwa hahahahahahahah!
Most people are probably expecting another Yankees/Phills World Series, but these things usually never pan out. One of those two teams will go down. I'm leaning more towards the Yankees, they have to start on the road and will be on the road in a potential Game 6 or 7 facing Cliff Lee. However, I heard on MAd Dog radio that its been something like 80 or 90 years (not exactly sure) the last time a National League team won 3 straight pennants. Ouch, that's not good sign for the Phills.

As a Padres fan I'm rooting Bochy and Flannery.

As a Padres fan I'm rooting for the Phils.

Anybody but the Yankees.
