Unofficial CHUD PC game server.

So, in the Minecraft thread the subject of someone setting up a server for Chewers to connect to came up. Since I don't have any hardware available to set up an all purpose server I figured we could try a server rental service. The one a couple of people suggested to me costs about a euro per open slot per month and is game specific with preset games.

Since I like you fine gents and I'm too lazy to set up my Paypal to receive payments for such small sums I'll probably set up and pay for the first couple of months myself. We'll see how it goes after that.

So I'm looking for a few good men and some good game suggestions. To play multiple games we'll have to alternate for now, we won't be able to have a Left For Dead and TF2 server running at the same time for example.

Who's up for it? I'd like the server to have at least eight slots, so that's the minimum. And it would be nice to have a nice geographical spread so the odds of finding someone online to play with are better.

Sign up. There are holes to be mined, zombies to be headshotted and rockets to be jumped.

Well, I play TF2, L4D, and Borderlands via PC, but I play them all through Steam.

In this case, I'd just add the CHUD server to my list within the game, right? I know TF2 has a server list-- not even sure about L4D or BLands.

I'm definitely down for some Crafting of Mines. I don't play a lot of PC games, though.

Have you tried reaching out to Nick re: an OFFICIAL CHUD pc server?

I think Nick might be just a bit busy right now. Let's see how this goes, if it goes anywhere.

And Gray, Borderlands has no dedicated server I think but L4D does. The point of doing this is to have a place just for Chewers. Where you know the people you'll play with so we can avoid the general cheating, douchebaggery and griefing that goes around.

The only two pc games I have are Spore and CIV2 but if you want to play them, I'm in.

Happy to chip in for a month or two if it gets going. UK based here.

L4D1 & 2 are the only dedicated server games I'm playing at the minute (Borderlands & Civ 5 are taking the remainder of my time) but happy to pick something up if there's a recommended game as it tends to be folk that make these things fun.

Minecraft @ minecraft.net is the ticket, Glisten. 15 Euros for now, what is that like 10 pounds? I can't remember if the pound is stronger than the euro.

I'd be happy to play some Chewer TF2 games, but I'd be shocked if we can get 6-8 people together to do that at the same time.
