There a bunch of awesome tough guy shots, but I like the shot of a bear riding a horse the most.

That trailer is a better movie than 90% of movies made.

By now, this is becoming less of an amusing observation and more of a rather depressing one. At least we can rest assured that the Coens won't be filmmaking Grinches come Christmas time.

In the brief bits we've seen what gets me most is that Hailee Steinfeld seems to be more than holding her own against Bridges. I bet her performance is the standout.

She delivers her response to Bridges's question ("What's your name, girl?") perfectly. Hopefully (and I'm not doubting the ability of the Coens to exceptionally cast roles), Hailee Steinfeld took full advantage of the fact that the Coens are restorting the perspective of the story back to what it was originally intended to be told from -- through Maddie's eyes --and really blow the audience away so that there's some serious awards talk. She may be sharing scenes with veteran performers, but her performance is really the guiding, solitary voice that informs the audience of how we're supposed to be perceiving the Western environment.

It's just so damn gooooooooooood....

This might be extremely blasphemous but I kind of want to see the Coens and Bridges do a remake of The Searchers.
That one shot of Cogburn certainly seems to echo the end of The Searchers.

And may we not forget that Barry Pepper is in this film, as well?

Just give Deakins an Oscar based solely on that shoot.
The trailer looks great.
(BTW, Even if I have a firewall I managed to bypass it...)

This looks awesome; can't wait.

Bridges & Damon in a Coen Bros. directed big studio action western, shot by Deakins.

Ticket, sold!
Deakins isn't capable of thoroughly bad-looking photography, especially when he's working for the Coens. He's already dealt with the same supernatural agent that ensured an undying career for M. Night Shyamalan, only in his case the unbelievable photography is not an affront to cinema.

Amazing, saw this trailer already in theaters before The Social Network and it gave me the chills. I can't wait for this to come out...

I'm loving the language. Anyone familiar with the book?
The first two lines Damon speaks he sounds like Tommy Lee Jones' Woodrow Call accent, which is welcome. I also like Brolin's odd stunted voice.
Also, can we all agree that Roger Deakins' lack of Oscar is as shameful as Martin Scorsese's? Get your act together, Academy.

The Masturbating Bear in his film debut!

I'm going to have to say I preffer the first teaser trailer. Seemed like we got just about the entire movie in that one and the chopped and screwed Johnny Cash song isn't nearly as evocative as the sustained female vocal in the first.

That's a critique of the trailer, not the film. I am ridiculously excited about this film. Westerns are a dying breed and this one looks like a keeper.

And I'll give the trailer a pass for the Bear on a Horse shot. Looked like Robert Duvall wandered in from The Road.
