I don't know about Elba as "classic" gold-shirt Cage (not sure he can push his tongue that far into his cheek; Ejiofor, maybe), but he'd be perfect if they ever decide to adapt Alias.

He's a great actor, but with Marvel's shared movie universe, it would be extremely strange to see him crop up as a different hero (IMHO)

Michael Jai White is still my top choice for Luke Cage, but I wouldn't complain if Elba got the role.

I also think the Old Spice guy is interested in the role.

I could see this, if they tweak his origin a little. Keep the prisoner experiment origin and when he's free, he sets up his own high profile P.I. agency and takes on only really weird and dangerous cases that match his abilities.

I have to agree with wade. Isaiah Bone is clearly the only choice for this role. One might even say his qualifications are...undisputed.

Steve Murphy, I love the concept of, Idris Elba as...Luke Cage, Power Man. I hope he has the yellow shirt,tiara, and chain belt. He should also speak in the off beat lingo of...70's era Cage!

RathBandu, Michael Jai White, should be the new...Blade! MJW has a properly...Sharp, sense of humor, and also is quite the adept, martial artist. I would not mind seeing...Blade with a more humorous side, to differ from the, Wesley Snipes original!
