I still have huge problems with the last 15 minutes of the film. Good review, Renn.

I hated the idiocy on display by most of the characters. Hated everything with the girls till they went inside the house. Loved the living shit out of everything else.

But really, characters do everything you shouldn't do in a situation like that. MIss chances to hurt the Dr. or Kill him. The Cops are idiots and the girls with the car and going to the middle of the woods?

Besides that, the film is great.
The direction is superb. I'd love to see what Six can do with a good budget and equipment.

The Dr was one scary and creepy motherfucker. Perfect mix of Lance Henriksen, Michael Shannon and Cristopher Walken.

Can't wait for the sequel.

Definitely got a Lance Henriksen/Christopher Walken vibe off of him. Also Udo Kier, but every creepy German gets tagged with that deserving or not.

You know, I haven't seen the film yet because I'm too much of a wimp, but I have wondered, quite perversely, that if the three characters are essentially connected by the ass, does the film address that they have to deal with the functions of the ass, especially in the case of the two unfortunate souls in the back?
