wow, Andrea! That was really something! Well written, insightful and well off the beaten path. If this is the "new" CHUD then I am on board 110%. Articels like this one are the reason I began coming to this site in the first place. I love genre cinema of all stripes but as I grow older (blech!) I find myself awakening to new interests beyond "Mom's basement" or however you want to put it. I suppose I'm (blech! again) maturing. These kind of articles broaden my horizons and broaden my parameters. They broaden the ryhmes of sucky MC amatuers (BAM! My best Andre Dellamorte impression right there).

Seriously, thanks for writing this up. Those photos are beautiful and I had never heard of her before. Awesome.

I normally wouldn't give a flying fuck about pictures of dancers, but Andrea's prose is so engaging and interesting, that it made me empathize with the allure, even if for a bit.

She communicates her feelings so well and so imaginatively, that you can't help but be swept up in her enthusiasm.
