Wasn't "The End Begins" the tagline for Terminator Salvation?

Did THE SOCIAL NETWORK's poster start a trend? I'm noticing a lot of posters that are simply a headshot of the main character on a black background and the title.

Anyone else find it odd that Snape is even more clean shaven than Harry and Ron? Just me? Ok.

I want some serious Fenrir Greyback in this one. He was such a twisted fuck in the book.

After recently reading the Drew Struzan book, I dislike these posters more than I normally would. I really dislike these. Yes, we get it. It's gonna be dark.

Hahahahaha, Snape looks like someone just caught him reminiscing about Lily Potter again.

I think that's completely deliberate and actually surprisingly effective. As simply a point of comparison back to these three kids so long ago, seeing two unshaven young men and an obvious woman now really impresses how far the three of them - and by association we the audience - have come.

The other ones don't really work for me, but I kinda love the emphasis on maturity, rather than darkness, I got from the the posters of the three leads.

This reminds me a lot more of the character posters for Star Trek.

The style of photography reminds me of the poster for A-Team, with the extreme closeup that emphasizes the wrinkles, pores, etc. of the skin.

IMHO the reason Radcliffe and the other one are bearded is to emphasize their aging. It's not just to look hip. With 'Snape', that character has presumably been an adult throughout the entire series so giving him stubble would be unnecessary
