I assume they'll be using something like this to make Chris Evans look like a 90lb weakling in CAPTAIN AMERICA.

Neat-o...

I want to see this in action on a legit film, let me spend 2 hours looking at it... if it is still convincing then, there are awesome implications for this tech.

The key is obviously not looking fake, which is something that even the super high tech face de-aging tech still struggles with.

I think Devin mentioned on Twitter that this has been used in a major 2010 summer movie. If true, I wonder which one?

If that is true, then kudos to that tech. I don't think I could pick it out from anything I have seen thus far.

This reminds me of the shot for Machete where Jessica Alba filmed a shower scene in a bikini and they cgi-d her nude, what a weird and wonderful cinematic future to look forward to...

Huh... I'd never heard about that.

My guess is they uber bulked up Gyllenhaal for Prince of Persia.

Robin Hood. The scene where Russell Crowe disrobes and is shirtless in front of Cate B.

EDIT: I'm being serious, so that's not a Russell Crowe fat joke.

Weren't there those leaked/spy shots of him on the set and ripped? I think that was "real."

Does this mean we'll get a new Jack Ryan movie starring Alec Baldwin "Classic"?

Interesting stuff, but I must state my disagreement with the article's thesis that body morphing is the "new thing" and is therefore more interesting than de aging tech

I'd imagine that given the preventative costs of implementing such tech to create a digitally enhanced lead performance, de-aging a star is still going to be the most frequent use for such softwares. You might see someone blimped or slimmed in a cameo appearance or two, but there is less call for spending the kind of money it would take to CGI an actor into obesity for a lead role than there is making Will Smith look 20 again.

For the time being I'd imagine actors will keep gaining the old fashioned way, due to the economics of the situation
