I am very okay with more of this series.

Just do me a favor and bring Roger Deakins back too.

And John Powell's music, too, please.

If DeBlois can maintain that Lilo & Stitch magic without his better half, then full speed ahead.

great news.. and I'm sure the DVD sales will be huge tomorrow too.

Loved the first one to death. If the quality can be maintained, go for it.

I appreciated the ambitiousness of the first movie. It could have just been a cute "kid and his critter" story, but their decision to go nuts with dragon biology made it much cooler, and seemed to provide plenty of room for a sequel, unlike a lot of animated movies which feel like they don't have enough of a premise to sustain more than one film.

I like that Dreamworks is finally starting to carve out a niche for itself as the maker of "geekier" animated movies.

Theyre still making Megamind, though. They're still stuck in quality neutrality because of shit like that.

what's the buzz on 'Megamind'? It looks terrible.

The buzz is that it looks terrible.

I'm down with more of the land of Berk, though. And yeah, John Powell and Roger Deakins are crucial parts of maintaining the quality of the first one. We'll see how DeBlois does on his own, but I'm sure he'll be fine.
